Velvet's elemental buzzsaw {crit} ~ Atziri deathless/map clearing 1.3 Updated!

I just yolo crafted some high ilvl gear and stumbled across this

tbh I don't really know what to do with it, aug? yolo regal?
Well it depends what your goal for crafting is. If you want to craft a TOP weapon, you should augment it and hope for a T1 in some elemental damage (or WED). Then regal it and hope for crit chance. With these 3 T1 mods (or even lower T2 or so) you are set! After that you can eternal exalt or use the multiple crafting options.

So, in my opinion, you should try to get as much out of the weapon while rolling it is still cheap (aka magic) and only when you have 2 T1-T2 of your choice, you would regal.
Would you add Herald of Thunder to the build? or is it not viable?
If I am going for atziri what would my passive tree looks like around lv80?

Herald of Thunder is totally viable for this build. But because of mana reservation it would be at the cost of some other aura. Herald of Ice is the most logical candidate for this. With HoT I imagine the DPS will be a bit higher and the storm calls are nice, but you will most likely lose the defensive advantage of freezing/shattering enemies. Also the curse on hit option was discussed, but I think the range is not large enough to benefit from it. In the end it's your choice which herald you want to use:)

Well the passive tree I posted was for my lvl 90 char. Here's an idea how the char should look like at lvl 80:

It's maybe not 100% optimal for lvl 80 but very close to it for sure. Also, at lvl 80 you are going to be a bit starving for points, so unless you have godlike gear, Atziri will be a pain. Good luck nevertheless!
Got it, keep up the good work :)
By the way, what major nodes do you recommend pick up first? If leveling from lv1 to lv90.

Well it depends where you are playing. Optimally you want to grab all the aura nodes first (this will be the 'skeleton' of the build so to say). But this will stretch you a lot and leave you with a small HP pool for a long while. On softcore you can get away with it, but on hardcore I would recommend grabbing some life clusters along the way. Also, there is no optimal way to mitigate physical damage until you have lvl 15-20 on Enduring cry and Immortal Call, so I recommend using some potions for armor, evasion or even Rumi's concoction.
Hi, its possible to run this build with a ranger? already have a 89 ranger and wanna try this build.

Thank you this build looks awesome.
@Leugim:

Yes this build is certainly viable for ranger. Some people already tried it.

The tree should look something like this:

In principle you have 2 ways of reaching the scion tree: either through attack speed route (and pick up some accuracy and more AS or projectile damage) OR evasion & life route. In the tree posted above I picked evasion and life since I feel the ranger tree is better for going with high evasion. The life is good anyway.

The second difference from the scion tree is how to get to the left part of the skill panel. I opt for going through Reflexes -> Sentinel -> Constitution. The alternative is to go up through Foresight in the north (saves some points) but we get no benefit from that route.

But this is just theory crafting. The general idea is there, but I am not quite sure it will work perfectly for you. You might have to give up something to gain more mana regen or Intelligence (not sure but could happen, depending on your gear). In the end, the only way to know for sure is to try it out yourself OR ask some people in this thread who asked the same question as you before :)

Best of luck out there!
Hello! I'm finally here to give an update on the build :)

I happen to be the fellow to buy this from SFXisMag1c (it is so sexy):

My current gear is

Overall, I must say this is the most fun I've had with any build so far. It is also the furthest I've ever been in the game. It was enjoyable to level with this build and offers both great clear speed and survivability. At first till around level 84 I followed the guide completely! The self-cast immortal call offers a extremely long immunity to physical damage, allowing the user to pay greater attention to elemental damage which paired with a saffel's frame and purities allows elemental resistances of 84%+.

My gear is still quite far from finished, I still plan to later master craft the dagger with multiple mods and get some weapon elemental damage mods on my rings, belts and amulet. I happened to get extremely lucky on 6-linking the lightning coil in about 35 fusings (when all i wanted was a 5-link). It was only after I happened to 6-link the lightning coil did I alter the build to suit my needs. At first I used blood magic to sustain the mana costs till once I find the required gear, but overtime I decided to just keep blood magic.

My tree:

This is currently my tree, which I believe it suits the blood magic side of this build. I've removed the increase duration nodes and one of the aura clusters. Due to have a lightning coil I've decided to spec into maximum HP %. I run the auras (Anger, Wrath, HoI, HoT and purity of lightning) this leaves us with 94% reduced mana. Due to this build having only 3 power charges, I strayed away from power charge on critical strike and moved into a curse on hit assassin's mark GMP spectral throw on my 4-link.

My stats so far are:
DPS: 14,204
HP: 4,256
Level: 87
I'll update this post as I progress, also fixing any grammar mistakes once I have time.

P.S Thank you for this BUILD! This probably my favourite character that I've played so far!
@BBQ_chocobo

I am very glad things worked out for you my friend, and that you found 'your' version of the build. I always wanted my guide to be a framework in which people can experiment. Your success and enjoyment with the build proves just that!

In the end, everyone should adapt the build with regard to current gear and personal choice. I feel my current setup is the one that works best for me, but it might not be the best for everyone :)

I always encouraged using purity of lightning if you run lightning coil, so that is a great plus! Also, using another spectral throw to curse everything was a solid concept all along!

So a big thumbs up to you my friend and I hope you will keep going!

PS: This is also the furthest I have reached in the game. I am not a hardcore player (literally and metaphorically), I am not a streamer or a youtuber. I just tried my best to climb further into the game and this is the result. Soon, I will post an update of my char and how to further improve the build. Stay tuned! ;)
