How did you manage the lack of INT? I can't level my HoT and assassins :(

i have +39 in my amulet, +25 in abyssus and i took a +30 node. INT is hurdle, but there are enough room in the equipment to make it work.

So many strikes within one breath.
But only one strike needed, for certain death.
Hey mate, great build you have here. I just started a Duelist and will be using this guide as a base. The problem I have is that, sadly, I just don't like Molten Strike, and I'm a bit worried its going to get nerfed at some point. To that end I wish to use Dual Strike, and just wanted to know what gem changes you would recommend. Thanks again for the guide, it looks like a great deal of fun.

I really would not worry about molten strike getting nerfed. It's great for levelling but endgame clear speed is bad. This build overcomes those limitations by using crazy HoA proliferation mechanics, which is once again the main focus of the build. You could probably use any skill for the concept.

Anyways, the links for dual strike would be DS+ multistrike + melee phys + increased crit damage + added fire + faster attacks
For try, for see, and for know.

Just like what Etherfire has said, the build uses Ash as the AoE. This is why i focus on single target skills.

As it turns out, Dual Strike is the most powerful of skills, the combining damage of both weapons (as opposed to the alternating attacks from other skills), and the dropping of melee splash for more single target DPS is what makes DS so powerful.

There are 2 options for DS:

1. GGRRRB
Dual strike
faster attacks
melee phys
Added fire
Multistrike
Crit damage

Using Bino/Snakebite/Catalyst. No flasks and no Vaal skills.

2. GRRRRB
Dual strike
WED
melee phys
Added fire
Multistrike
Crit damage

Using Bino/Snakebite/Catalyst. No flasks and no Vaal skills.

The first set uses FA and has the classic DS feel. The second replaces that with WED and has a noticeably slower attack rate, but is not off-putting.

The WED version applies more single target damage and thus makes the prolif burn even more powerful. The WED version clears faster and is great for Atziri (see old dual strike atziri vids).

The main problem with DS (and the reason i use MS) is physical reflect. Physical damage output is too great to mitigate and I one-shot myself more often than i care to admit, this is because i like to play fast and aggressive. With hybrid attacks like MS and LS, physical damage is minimal and our resistance levels keep us safe from ele reflect.

Use any attack that works for your playstyle

Ahh, now I understand. If you explode a reflect pack, then yeah, that might be a problem. I'll stick with DS and try to find a way around that, and thanks again for such a fun looking build.

Which raises the question: The damage reflect from HoA burned mobs (most of the damage) is of elemental nature, right (independently from which skill you use, MS or DS)?

If so, what you are saying is that the single target phys reflection is harder to mitigate then the HoA AoE elemental reflect, did I got that right?

Then, perhaps, for those people that would rather use DS or MS, it would be advised to exchange some skill points to armor/eva ones. Or replace hatred with Grace/determination (as the Dps is higher with DS, might as well give up hatred). Does that make any sense or is something workable? Also, did the phys reflect got toned down by the Coil version or is it kept the same?

By the way, I'm loving the build! Made a minor adaptation, getting those 3 points to get Diamond Skin ane placed on Weathered Hunter - almost the same resist but some Accuracy added, which we don't get easily from the gear.

My mistake. I went to ask about Bandits, but found it tucked away in a spoiler somewhere :P

@junaum

Burn doesn't get reflected.

Hey man awesome guide!

However I would love to see a proper video of this build in action, perhaps clearing a 78 map.
Are you planning on posting one any time soon?

Edit: just found the vid, excellent job
