After seeing your post on reddit yesterday I've started leveling this build, looks like amazing fun.
probably wont be able to get my hands on a windripper anytime soon so will see how i go |

Thinking about trying your build, have a few questions about it.
I don't have a windripper, currently saving up for it. I'll be using And because it doesn't have the correct colors, how would putting life leech in there work out? Would it bring the mana cost too high without the berek's? And if it was plausable to use lifeleech on it, with vaal pact, would I remove the Conc effect, or arc? |

" Potentially, yes. Literally the only things that are a big factor for the bow are the crit chance and the attack speed. Everything else is either not important or just a bonus. Though I feel Quill Rain would do hell with your mana, and it would be hard to get up to a sustainable crit rate with just 5% base. So I wouldn't recommend it, but its possible. " Life Leech is a good substitute to use in place of Berek's grip. I don't think you will run into to many mana problems, especially if you grab some Mana on Kill nodes. Also remember that since this is a crit build, you have access to surgeon's flasks! My Surgeon's flasks pretty much have a 100% up time, which allows me to spam the hell out of mana flasks to keep me in the fight. As for removing either Conc Effect or Arc... Arc is probably the better choice to remove. Almost all of your damage comes from Cold Snap. Although Arc adds a nice 50% increased bonus with Shock... I've been using this build with a 4L Voll's and am currently in the 60s right now. I started levelling with a pair of corrupted level 12 cast on crit Doedre's Tenure at level 28 and Hyrri's quiver corrupted with cold damage life leech. I got a 5L Decemation bow I crafted with crit % and attack speed and have been having quite a bit of fun. I am tempted to run Conc Effect instead of Arc but I like how Cold Snap currently overlaps on closely packed enemies. One twist on this build is that I've been using Elreon's rings and amulet that have been augmented then regaled and then bench modded so my mana cost for attack skills are literally zero. With no mana cost I am able to run Purity of Elements, Grace and Herald of Ice. Between my jewelry, belt, boots and PoE, I've been able to max my resistance for Merciless. The only problem I'm having is that I have also have literally zero life on my gear so I can get 2 hit pretty easily if I'm not careful.
I've spent very little on my gear, well under one exalt, but I don't think it will be maps viable until I start sinking some real currency into it. Last edited by shotgoon#1802 on Oct 18, 2014, 3:35:45 AM

" Yes that is a nice aspect of the build when it comes to Elreon's rings! If you can get your crit up to a comfortable level you should be fine running maps. |

Mini update:
Herald of Thunder might add a nice little DPS boost (and maybe even a big DPS boost). It will add lightning damage to Cold Snap, Arc, and Tornado Shot, and because of Arc you will be shocking a ton and killing a lot of shocked targets, meaning the Herald of Thunder effect will be up pretty much 24/7. Also from the preview we can see that the damage it adds to spells/attacks is pretty significant, about 30% more then the damage that Herald of Ice adds. Could be huge! Hey bro,
I am a big fan of this build, using it myself successfully easy soloing 78 maps. Obviously I got 6L voll's, ripper, berek's, etc. Now as I am preparing mentally for an atziri attempt I've noticed a small detail in your video which is actually not so small in gameplay. You switch arc into mana leech (?) for the reflect phase which is obviously logical, except! That you have a corrupted white socket ripper that makes it easy. I don't have this luxury, so what do you suggest to swap the blue arc with? Also, thinking how much that mana is necessary for that part of atziri? Another point of interest, I am lvl 85 atm and following your passive tree I am really hesitant to pick the dex + blood drinker circle (that's the only nodes I am missing from you last updated tree(?)). Would you recommend an alternative hp source? Cause I feel like those 4 nodes really lead nowhere and the hp gain isn't that great to justify it considering the pretty much useless phys life leech for this build. Could you make post an "end - game" passive tree? |

" Post your Passive Tree and I'll see what I can find for you. My passive tree is pretty fluid right now, and not even I have locked down what it looks like. I am waiting for Herald of Thunder to come out before I settle on a final form which I will post. As for what to switch that blue out for. Hm. Probably just Increased Critical Strikes. You could also try Glacial Cascade, as long as you aim it right so it doesn't hit the one reflect Atziri. And unfortunately since you can't shock Atziri, your mana will have to be sustained by a Surgeon's Mana flask, thats pretty much your only option if you can't toss in a mana leech. That's my current passive tree. I am sitting on capped resists and just a little over 3.5k hp with ~ 100 mana available with grace and herald of ice enabled. I am not sure what's better tbh, focusing on extra health or perhaps squeezing in some more damage from passives? Interesting idea with glacial cascade, I will definitely give it a try Also my gear as follows, perhaps you would have a suggestion on that as well :)
