First of all, Curse on Hit nerf hit us pretty hard, making our curses a lot weaker than before (like A LOT weaker). You might want to self cast them now if you find a way to do it efficiently.

Is there anything else beside shorter duration replacing reduced effectiveness?
Imo 10% shorter duration with lvl20 ain't that dramatic. One should still be able to kill anything but bosses before the curses expires.
At least i didn't notice any difference on my fireball witch using herald of thunder-coh setup.
There's a noob in all of us

I'm using a very similar build, but without CI! pretty basic but solid indeed..

About spectres, I have been testing amny of them, and i have to say that evangelists don't really have the most dps, even with hatred etc. I believe that Undying Incinerators have it by far, since their damage can be effectively boosted by elemental wekness/flammability, but i guess they are a more offensive setup
However, sometimes the faster you kill stuff the safer you are

is there any way you can fill in a vaal haste? maybe in your sword.. flesh offering lasts a lot of time anyway

in my setup i put the vaal skeletons in the +2 helmet with zombies since for boss fights they are very strong and never die/deal a shitload of dps
maybe having 2 copies of it can be helpful as well

Btw, do your zombies ever die? the lifesteal from tree is enough? i have been running vitality for a long time now, for more safety, is discipline ok too?

last but NOT the least, HOW do you deal with stun/freeze?

without eye of chayula you are going to be permastun/frozen, or not? i think a big weakness are the big devourers that just stun you forever, how you deal with them?

and, how you deal with the stupid leapslam mobs/etc?

Are you looking for high level spectres when you do maps? i realized they reallt can't keep up on level 74+ maps, i have to try maps and find the best one and i modify my build accordingly.. for ex, if i find high level incinerators, i build around them, if i find high level evangelists, i change my auras etc

sorry for the long post but i'd like to hear other summoners :p

Spectres are obviously a preference of everyone, but i found evangelists to be the most effective damage/survivability/mobility wise.
Incinerators like to stand in a place, spitting fire, when there's nobody around anymore.

You can replace my Vaal Summon Skeletons with Vaal Haste if you have 5Link 6Socket armor or, like you said, one of the support gems like Increased Duration.

As long as level of zombies is high enough they never die. If you get montregul's grasp they're pretty much invincible. I almost never lost zombies in Beyond, except for a couple Beyond boss fights (fire boss and abaxoth himself).

I used to wear +xx% minion damage chayula but when i got andvariuses i had trouble capping resists so ended up getting rare amy. Honestly, i didn't feel much of a difference. I get stunned only so often and it's usually not a problem unless it screws up your convocation cooldown or something.
I don't remember freeze ever begin a problem.

Leapslam and charge mobs - pop rumi's or granites and just outlive the damage.

High level spectres are a lot stronger, true, but the ones in merciless are fine as well. If you have a palace in your daily map pool, you should start with it first and get the higher level spectres (in case of evangelists), because they make clearing speed faster.

Turns out i missread the patch notes, thinking that curse effectiveness stays at negative values through all levels, instead of being the default.
In that case it doesn't actually matter. I updated the original post.
Doing this build right now, swapped out Ephemeral for
and enjoying the super zombs. Only issue is going insane from the dubstep beats of the evangelists. 7.2k ES, pretty solid defense wise, only a few deaths 70+ from abaxoth and arrogance but its fun to give it a try.
I swap out enfeeble for vulnerability when I am doing zana/maps with RF/melee characters and it seems to work very well, Unfortunately I cannot level Vaal haste beyond lvl 9 even with Dex on gear and a +30 passive. Great build!

Thanks for your reply! Unfortunately, due to having a lot of uniques our DEX source is limited to a few items and passive tree. I did manage to get haste to lvl 17 or something before switching to hatred, so it's definitely possible though.
I am kind of confused on the purpose of spell echo if you remove it each time?

When summonning spectres, you want to remove spell echo because otherwise you will summon two spectres at the same time: the one you want (evangelist) and then a other random spectre (which might not be an evangelist). Spectres are not supposed to die, so you summon then only one time when you log in and removing spell echo is not a big deal.
