Is doryani's catalyst good for this build for hc? I haven't gotten high enough to try it out yet.

if you're going to use doryani's, you will need to grab vaal pact, and maybe add a leech gem to get enough leech.

One of the best shadow builds so far imho, few more percent to lvl 90, can do every map boss easily. Well, except 79 vaal temple trio, fast alt+f4 was what saved me. Thumbs up

Thanks man, makes me happy to hear about your guys' success with the build :D

Another option would be to go for Wall of Thorns instead of Plated Defenses. You would need 8 skill points to get to all 9 of Wall of Thorns' block %. You could save 6 point from Plated Defenses and another point from +30 dex since you'd be traveling through +10 dex nodes on the way to Plated Defenses. So for the 8th skill point, you'd need lose a life or mana or cast speed node somewhere (in exchange for +1% block and 15% melee thorns that this version gives).

This move would open the build to possibly reaching for Phase Acrobatics or Ballistic Mastery and/or Charisma, depending on which route to Wall of Thorns is taken.
cool build as 2 ex im immortal at lvl 66+ maps
So my old Rathpith was something like ~55% spell damage 49% spell block with some other roll for ES. I had a spare divine and re-rolled the stats and ended up with this:

Should I roll it a second time to try and balance out the block and spell damage amounts or leave it as-is? Not sure how much spell block I need from gear to reach max, not entirely sure if gaining 10% block and losing 10% spell damage was worth the divine it cost. Any input?

You don't really need anything higher than 53% spellblock imo, so it may be worth a shot. up to you
Another question; The projectiles on your incinerate seem longer than mine? Like they travel further outwards if you know what I mean. How do you get this? Could just be an illusion cause of the blue microtransaction but would be good to know if I can hit more targets at once

Faster projectiles increases the distance of incinerate. Quality incinerate is required, recommended to grab the faster proj in shadow tree from Sniper as well.

I did exactly this. Took wall of thorns instead of plated defense. You get 1% more block out of it. That coupled with this corrupted Stone of Lazhwar gave me max block without needing to craft gloves:

I was making a build very similar to this in standard from a respec. Stole some great ideas around empower, enhance and arctic armour. Then added my own flavor to it.

Replaced Added Chaos Damage with a 20% Added Lightning Damage. Took Static Blows in the tree, equipped The Taming I had laying around from a RIP'd Nemesis toon. With that ring, the amount of times you hit with incinerate, I have been able to shock, ignite and sometimes freeze all mobs. Have had 100% success at shocking and igniting Palace Dominus.

Next time I reroll a HC character will definitely keep this build in mind.

I've been meaning to try Added Lightning, this should give me some incentive to check it out

Hello Baeltimazifas!

The build looks great and very interesting. Ive been trying different builds, which different styles, and decided to try something new. And then I found your guide.
Since im still quite new-ish to poe, maybe you could give me a few pointers, to as to where I should go with my skill tree first. How it should look through the levels. I find it hard to decide which notes are more important at which stages of the leveling process.

Preciate it, if you have the time! :)

Regards, Lee.
