[2.5 Video Guide] Beginner's Build: Dual Flame Totem, Blood Magic Chieftain [Atziri & HC/SC Viable]

You have spent 4 links to make a defensive setup with Arctic Breath and the supports for it.
Now in Ascendancy you may simply use Decree of Spite gloves enchantment that does mostly the same thing.
This makes 4 sockets free. What else may be added in these sockets?

What about if you already have a witch with this build? Haven't taken her into the labyrinth yet.

I was wondering too. I have a 88 witch and she is naked cause i took a long break. I am looking for a cheap build to start with again. Is this doable with a witch too?

You can do it as the witch sure. In that case I'd go elementalist, however it is not something I recommend as the witch subclasses simply aren't that useful for BM flame totem anymore unfortunately.

Yeah, I'm definitely doing elementalist since it is only witch ascend. that makes any sense at all. But yeah, dude, I know, I wouldn't recommend it either for someone rolling a new char. But I ain't getting rid of my 90 witch who is OP as shit. Still a nice build.
Censored.

Life comes from regen and flasks yes. You don't use mana - you are using blood magic to fuel the cost of your skills via your life pool =)

As far as I understand Elemental overload it should increase the damage of the Totems. The totems won´t be able to activate it themselves even if they didn´t have controlled destruction linked. However a Orb of storms would be able to trigger it even if Ancestral bonds keeps it from dealing damage.
We´d have to drop a CWDT set however Orb can be linked to support via curse on hit/blind, etc.
Few questions in regards to the skills.

Does it matter in which order the gems are linked after flame totem?

Is it possible to use all of the defencive set ups listed or are they variations that you have to choose a preffered choice to use.

Great guide, following it to a tee. LVL 54 now and still having a blast with the class and guide <3

That's an interesting idea. A CWDT with critical chance and BL/Firestorm might proc overload quite often if it can register no-damage critical hits that is.

I still can't understand why use AA. It is like 12.5% less hp when dealing with lightning/cold damage and on fire/physical it's virtually the same at level 20. Am I wrong in this? Is chill that imbalanced for it to be worth it? Can anyone give me an answer?

Glad you like it.

I'd suggest linking the gems in the priority I have listed in the skill-gem section. It doesn't matter however where they are placed in the item.

It is possible to use all the defensive setups at a time. Just make sure you level them as advised in the guide =)
