Massta, the witch is slightly more efficient due to starting point but that is all.

Sirsadi, as always flask use is situationally dictated. For Apex, I use sapphire and topaz for twins, granite and ruby for trio, and 2 rubies for Atziri herself ( just dodge storm calls). I tend to use a lot of bubbling flasks. I hope this helps.

My question was in relation to cast efficiency. I know how you can get dual curses.

Things to consider are

Blasphemy Radius - Is basically the radius of an aura.
the general play style of flame totems is we place totems ahead of us while we stand back.
With blasphemy as a way to get 2 curses hit applied at the same time without manually casting them. the thing to consider , would the AOE of flame totem get covered by it?

I had considered arc-COH+Flamability+Eleweakness but this was inefficient. The only other way was to place totems cast curse 1 , cast curse 2.

Flame totems are going to remain relatively the same after the 2.1 The gem setups need consideration since empower is going to play into the mix.

Build guide updated for 2.1

In 2.1 Flame Totem has received a nerf to early level damage. At the same time late game damage has been buffed for the skill. Overall this change makes this build a little slower to level, but more powerful at end-game, a change I am very happy with! =)

The video attached to the guide (main post) is the same as for 2.0. The reason is that not much has changed. We use the same skill-gems and skill-tree as before.

So, what exactly affects Totem dmg? I thought only Totem passives would. I always wanted to try a Totem build.

- spell dmg
- cast speed
- incresed fire dmg

that stats on items you need to get good dmg
cast speed scales VERY good

Flame Totem cast speed has been reduced from 200ms to 250ms. Flame Totem now does 25% less damage at Level 1, up to 24% more damage at Level 20. When combined with the cast speed changes, this now does 40% less DPS at level 1, up to 0% at level 21.

I have just tested 2.1 flame totem leveling, it feels slower the first 20 levels, but after that it picks up. Leveling with FT is definitely still a viable choice, especially if you are a caster based character.
