I'm looking for a bit of advice.

I started using this guide for an alt in 1.3 and have a level 45 BM flame totem marauder. LNB says for 2.0 the build is optimally played as the witch, plus I feel the INT requirements for a lot of the optimal gear (I have a legacy Infernal Mantle in stash) will be easier for a witch to achieve.

The only real differences between the 2.0 skill tree for marauder and witch are 5 nodes:

Witch:
+28% increased spell damage
+9% increased cast speed

Marauder:
+46% increased armor
+16 to maximum life
+17% increased maximum life

Although the witch clearly has better DPS nodes, I feel like 16 raw life and 17% increased maximum life is pretty powerful. (I play SC.)

My question is this: Do y'all think I should reroll as a witch? (45 levels obviously won't take long.) Or should I just stick with the marauder?

Need some help to improve my DPS without loosing my survivability. I'm playing in Tempest, level 84.

My current tooltip dps is, almoust, 11k. I have:
- 4,8k hp
- 5,5k armour
- Auras: clarity + arctic armour
- ~900 mana - 370 free.

Different than most people that I see, im using:
- 2 fire gem staff;
- Mind over Matter + Max mana nodes
- Hrimnor's Resolve (+39% fire damage)

I see that I already do a fast clear soloing or with more 2-3 members, but as I see here some people have some good damage without op gear. And, as I said, I'm always lookig to improve my character!

OBS: Wouldn't like to play with Infernal Mantle, because the non existance of armour and I already use a +2 gem. More than that, with MoM would be very risky.

No, don't re-roll as a Witch. If you level high enough, in the end it wont matter if you start Marauder or Witch.

I started as Marauder because I wanted more life for early levels rather then damage. Now I'm level 88 and it doesn't matter what class if I went Marauder or Witch, considering I picked up the cast speed/spell damage nodes on the Witch tree as if I went Witch from the beginning. You assertion is correct IMO, Marauder has a better start because you get extra mitigation in the form of life early on. Damage is way less of a concern with this build, things die plenty fast.

The only real way to get better DPS out of flame totem, other than just stacking + gems and fire damage, for marauder, are three options:

1) Three Dragons + Crit

2) Righteous Fire

3) Stacking strength with Iron Will + Doon.

Otherwise, not really much more you can do. I really like crit + three dragons since you almost always get shock to apply since your totems hit so rapidly.

Faster Projs is extremely important for Flame Totem, though you can get it on wands. I would always use fast proj gem though, for faster clearing.

i am going to get the DMG notes, b4 the 2nd Totem. Because i use Magma Orb as Main DMG source.

Should i go for the With notes first or down the Tree to more hp/armor, i am playing Tempest. I will upgrade my gear as soon as i hit around lvl 40. Any other Tips with gears, low lvl uniqs that increase DMG/HP/ARMOR???
