[2.5 Video Guide] Beginner's Build: Dual Flame Totem, Blood Magic Chieftain [Atziri & HC/SC Viable]

You should consider taking the new health nodes that's under Blood Magic (= or atleast swap the 5% health next to Heart of the Warrior to the first 10% node under Blood Magic.

Thanks for a great guide! (=

Is the Totemic Zeal really worth it? The "spells cast by totems" speed increase doesnt seem to apply to flame totem. The totem placement speed and extra 2 seconds of duration are nice and all but i'm not sure they are worth spending 3 points on. There's almost never a situation where 10 seconds is not long enough to kill the mobs nearby and even without the increase from this cluster, totem placement feels fast enough. You could leave out Sentinel aswell (Especially on standard league) and save 6 points in total. Apart from the armor from Sentinel these 6 points give pretty much 0 survivability and no dps increase. I'm playing as a templar and i could easily use these points somewhere else for either much better dps increase or survivability. What you think?

A couple of questions here:

1/ What do you think about Iron will vs Empower lvl 4? I have one and I'm about to use it on a 6l staff with +2 lvl fire gem. That will be lvl 25 flame totem. Think the flat damage will out perfom percentage damage? If I use Iron will I can push my strenght up to 500, that will be 100% spell damage xD

2/ Is the 3% penetrate fire resistant that important? I've spotted a couple of fire or ele damage cluster that're more effiency than the one you picked, no penetrate resistant tho.

3/ I'm new to this build so I don't really know what to choose, dual wield rare wand or 2h searing touch, or 2h rare staff? 70% burning damamge seems juicy, but as I've seen burning damage has a little to no effect with the skill. But if that's true, why're so many flame totem toons running around with it?

Thank you.

Question : what about "Iron Grip"(passive Keystone) /give bonus from melee str. to projectiles/
In totem description is shown "Projectile............"
Keystone is 2 points down from Blood Magic.
I have 319str-it is 63,8% incr.projectile dmg.
Have anyone tested it?

Totems deal fire damage, iron grip is about physical damage. I think.

Iron Grip does not work for totems. Iron Grip is for projectile "ATTACKS" =)

in description of Flame totem skill gem is written "Fire,PROJECTILE,Totem, Spell,Duration"

Wiki : "Projectiles are entities which are produced by a spell or ranged attack which travel independently of their creator until they collide with an enemy or obstacle. "

.......tnx

it means :FT fire projectiles do not count as attack..

Between,I just tested -iron grip keystone not work with FT.

Empower lvl 4 gives almost same buff like Iron grip 20/20, but mana ( life ) cost will just skyrocket. It make gameplay much, much worse because you must spam flasks non-stop.
