I found RF burned me too fast also, and had never used the skill before. I swapped Anger for Vitality and that fixed the problem. Vitality's at lvl 17 now. I also took a couple of mana regen nodes with the act 4 skill point rewards, will likely switch around when I find good jewels. I haven't tried Atziri yet - I am mainly playing Tempest with new chars and doing act 4 content and new maps with this build. It seems better than before, and I haven't got optimum items by any means.
Not so great with Desert map boss... (I swapped in added lightning, that fixed the problem). Getting a six link in off colours aint gonna happen any time in the next ... ha. I've got enlighten levelling in off hand, and will see how that goes with using Anger as well when it's higher level, moving Clarity to another slot. I'm not sure about mana/aura math (in other words, I just experiment) - if someone knows the breakdown, feel free to share! Or, may find that awesome life regen ammmy. I've never used RF before.
I followed your tree but RF seems too much for me. will you explain more detail on your build information. |

The build work's fine for me I am level 81 with 87% fire res I out sustain RF buy a sharper's seed and get the regen nodes specified in the tree once you get purity to 20 drop sharper's seed run a ruby flask easy peezy. This build is not for your average joe but it is very good.

For people having trouble running this for general act 4 and mapping content. If I feel I can't safely run RF I turn it off for the insane life regeneration and swap out LMP for faster projectiles, Malachai was a breeze on Merciless without RF and the high regen.
That being said you will need a level 20 purity of fire for 88% fire resist to run RF comfortably. I am at 6.1k life with belly of the beast and the ~10.8% life regen is enough BUT that is not enough to stop your life degenerating slowly. If you feel that you don't want any degeneration you need to look at other alternatives for life regen such as necklace or more points invested, but I feel that is unnecessary.
