[1.2] Tanky freeze pulser with possible dual curse, instant leech option, atziri capable, hc viable

hi again :)

so, i'm trying to min-max as much as i can on the passive tree so i wanna share the last thing i did.

this was my tree at 86 prior to the change (athleticism already dropped in favour of barbarism)


today i was looking at the tree and i noticed that in the shadow area there are some juicy hp/es nodes near the nodes we take to get to the coldhearted calculation passive, so after some thoughts i updated my tree and now it looks like this


with this pathing we lose 10 dex, 10 str and 30 to max life, but we gain 5% life and 25% es.

with my current setup i've lost 0,7% of my previous hp, but i gained 5% more mana pool and 3% more mana regen.
these doesn't seems big numbers, but i think that 7.5 more mana regenerated per second (that what i gained with my current gear) is extremely good for this build


edit: i forgot to mention that, sadly, the shield armour passive is completely useless :(

I RIPed in Beyond to a game crash so I haven't been playing since.

I would focus on hp and mana first, block is less important while leveling.

I have updated the build. I have been experimenting with vaal pact and warlord's mark and made a vaal pact version of the build. I have incorporated tufferugli's suggestion to go for the +1 max fire resistance node.

I wouldn't recommend the vaal pact version until you have your gem leveled, the build completed and possibly a 6L.

Just want to say that I have been playing this build in beyond(lvl 80 now);
I always liked freeze pulse and played it on standard leagues before,
I plan to use a Cloak of Defiance instead of the L.Coil, will run discipline for the mana pool,
My tooltip dps is at 3,8K(LMP) I can run 71ish maps at medium speed.
My defense is great(+35% caos), running just the Lazhwar with 60% block, I can only imagine what would be like to have68 block/75 spell block, still need currency for the shield.

I would love some advice from you to play this build better.
If anyone is interested I can link gear and stuff.

any tips on how to level with this? its fairly squishy.

It could work with CoD, you will have to drop some auras however.

All I can say is that you have to play more careful until you get the gear and block. However, you shouldn't get one shoted by a single monster. You should focus on getting life and resists first, use mana pots if you have to. Use decoy totem, skelly spell totem, cast cold snap manually with elemental proliferation. Make sure you have an instant heal potion, maybe a granite too. On beyond you should be very careful about the beyond monsters that use tornado shot as they do pretty insane physical damage.

i found a new job and so i leaved wraeclast for about a month now.
i seen the changes ggg made on the skill tree (in particular the chance to block ones), but i didn't had any time to study it deeply.
do you think that now the build is dead?
