How could Beyond go live?

Tell me, why do you play Hardcore? It has no increased reward over standard. There is literally a gain of absolute zero reward. Have you considered that even though you think you want to play Hardcore leagues, maybe in reality you don't?

i'm not talking about epic loot
I find it really self-indulgent that people go on rants about the game's design and the people working on it when they have no clue how to make or a balance a game. They play and then whine when there's something they don't like. Game's will always have fine tuning required after release. that's just the way it is. Nothing is going to be perfect upon release. Be logical. They are an independent gaming company with no huge backer and they did an amazing job with this game in its design and execution. D3 and Sacred 3 are flops that were based on faulty concepts. This game should never take a clue from either of them. The guaranteed rare drop is stupid. Its greedy and unnecessary. The enjoyment should be in the fights not the guaranteed rewards. Yes you should get a certain number of drops per #monsters killed to ensure that you are leveling and strengthening with the content but its asinine to say that a monster should drop a specific item every time. Diablo 3 was a train wreck. Never compare the two.

If people who are not experts in field can never complain about that field then it seems like you're saying people can never complain about anything, which if that is the case, these forums seem redundant.

People are upset that many if the issues in the new leagues seem to be the same issues people brought up about the old leagues - so it isn't exactly correct to say that GGG didn't have time to fix the issues.

As for D3, I wouldn't say that one of the most sold PC games in history was a flop, it certainly wasn't what fans of D2 wanted (most of them) but since its release and subsequent patches it has become a very fun hack'n'slash game, especially on the consoles. And GGG could learn a lot from the changes Blizzard has made.

Happy hunting/fishing
D3 RoS was fun for about a month worth of play and then the game died off for me. I wouldn't say the game is easy but the drop rate of legendary items are broken and you are literally shoveled down with "epic" loot that fails to really be epic anymore.

My WD was maxed in a month. Zuni and doing t6 rifts in record times. The game got boring really quick as I had done what would take months to do in PoE cover the course of about a 4 days.

I'm honestly not sure what people are still doing in D3 as you max out quickly on gear and there isn't exactly great skill building in the game.

GGG should not take notes from D3 and make PoE more like it because PoE is it's own game that survives on it's own merits. They might have been inspired by the same game but are completely different entities and should remain that way.

The day I read "you are more likely to get items with stats that fit your exile" or anything related to the cheese factor (just my opinion not fact >.>) of D3, is the day I remove PoE from my SSD and never install it again.

No one is saying drop fat loot items for days. Obviously the power levels of uniques and rares are vastly different than they are in RoS. The point that people are making is that GGG should take note from Blizzard that Blizzard stopped balancing around economy and game balance (unless something is outrageously out of balance) and just prioritizing the player's fun over that. That should be the #1 priority, however these arbitrary spike damage numbers and ridiculous metagame nerfs all show that GGG is prioritizing other things above the individual player's fun.

Now, here's the thing. RoS may have been a short and shallow game, and it really is. If you play it hardcore for a month you really have not much else to do. That being said, for that one month, I can 100% guarantee that you had a blast, and it was tons of fun from minute 1 till the end, because the progression within that game made alot of sense, and there wasn't some bullshit mechanic that just one shotted you out of nowhere.

I have a level 30 toon, all 3 uniques have fallen from beyond critters.

I've gotten ONE yellow, from all beyonds. no currency. nothing

now I mostly run past them since it's not worth the time to even slay them since they are so tanky
since I have no hope for significant game design improvements in this game I am officially done with Path of Exile. done for good
