Hey by chance would the Doryani's physical belt work for this build? It has a lot of nice mods like tri res, life leech, phys dmg increase. What are your thoughts on that idea?

The ideal belt would either be a rustic sash or leather belt with these tier 1 stats: HP, WeD, and either tri-res or dual-res + str. You made a post in my build thread and linked this one.
Could you explain this: 126k [tooltip] + 126k * (6/7) [for melee only damage] * 3 [projectiles] * .6 [projectile debuff] Where did this * 6/7 came from? Can't exactly figure it out. Also why * 3 [projectiles] and not * 9 [projectiles] since that's your dps with multistrike. Also you mentioned some calculations why Iron Grip is bad. Can't find it. It's late. :) |

" The 6/7 is for my amount of melee physical damage including strength, melee only damage nodes, and multistrike. I figured that for ME (and only me), if I removed 10 str, my damage would go a certain amount down. I used this to infer the rest of the melee only damage from the tooltip DPS that will not be included in the projectile damage. While everyone will have a different amount of strength, I think that 6/7 is a good starting point estimate for molten strike calculations in general. Since 6/7 = 18/21, Iron Grip will add about 1/3 of the missing damage (21-18 = 3; 1/3 * 3 = 1 --> 1/21) to the projectiles, so they would have only a debuff of 19/21. IMO, this isn't worth the extra points just to travel to it. If you change the 6/7 to 19/21 in my calculation, that changes the total DPS to almost 420k instead of 404. This is actually just under 4% of an increase, more than my 2% I originally calculated. However, this is assuming that every lava ball hits. If you assume that 2/3 of the lava balls hit, it will change to a 3.3% increase of total DPS. You changed the pasive tree for the duelist, is better this tree than the old one?

It's less damage but more life. I'm currently attempting to optimize this build so that it is uber atziri viable. I'm considering going into the templar life tree to help with this...

I also changed merciless bandit quest from alira (power charge) to kill all (skill point). Between having 3 power charges and the other passive changes, my tooltip dps went from 126k to 112k.
