Game randomly minimizes when I click with my mouse.

Ok, this has happened to me at least 50 times now and I'm finally fed up with it. I play on hardcore league, and every time this happens my heart jumps, and I fear that it will kill me soon.

It happens randomly, I'll click on a chest or start a new instance, or trade with a vendor, etc....It seems to be activated with the left click, though I think I recall it happening once with the right click, but I can't be too sure. I am not pressing any other keys (most of the time) when it happens. And it happens the instant I hit the left mouse button.

It just minimizes my game, it doesn't crash. I run firefox and skype when I play. At first I thought it was skype because it would minimize to skype. But then after I tested it by closing skype, it still happened. Turns out it just minimizes to whatever the next window you have up on your desktop. I close all other programs and it minimizes to my desktop.

I checked my key bindings on the options menu for PoE, and I don't see anything that even lists a minimize key-bind.

It doesn't happen for any other game that I play. I searched the forums to see if anyone has a similar problem, and it seems that at least one other person does, but they never received a positive answer on why it minimizes randomly.

I'll post my specs if need be.

Same thing happens to me, as well as some other games, the internet seems to have no fixes, ideas about this or anything.

It will probably be of no use to you guys, but here is the thing : something similar was happening to me awhile, the cause was my Logitech SetPoint mouse software going rogue (there is a built-in option to define macros on mouse buttons).

Long thing short, one of the mouse macro went crazy after one of the patches (I am unsure if the binary name changed or I reinstalled), disabling it fixed the issue

EDIT : I would recommend to try to turn off as many of such features you might have as possible, turning off antivirus popup messages ETC (AKA "Quiet mode). Good luck

I also have this issue from time to time (also in another games). Sometimes it is just my browser duno why. But I never thought it my be also my logitech mice. I will check it next time it happens again.

ive had this happen because there was a popup of a steam group saying there was an event starting, and also from a popup from geforce exp for a new friver update.

and no i dont want to turn those off

anyone knows a way to set poe to prioritize itself or something

Same here and pretty fed up with it. Invested in the game and forced to play solo since running Skype or any other apps seems to augment the chances of it happening. Thinking about moving on sadly...
