Dominus farming really worth?

Hi guys.
My main is a 83 lvl witch and I am soloing 71 maps, but I have to admit without great results in terms of drop :-(
Do you think it will worth trying some runs of dominus for raising my bad mood?
Is hte fastest way to run dominus from the town waypoint --- run--- kill dominus -- teleport to town town ---reset waipoint --- run ....etc or there is something faster?

Boss farming is a wonderful way to make money from vendoring, trading, and recipes. Maps are good for leveling unless you can clear high lvl maps quickly. Meandering through midlevel maps is not a good way to make currency.

look at how streamers do it:

have a virtual machine running a poe instance with a rarity culler who opens a portal before the sceptre of god entrance, then stays in town and on your pc runs your normal game with your high dps character.

your main char takes this portal and lighting warps to dominus, before you confront him and before his second phase you shortly get your vm into foreground and get the culler into the sceptre of god for the party bonus, then the culler gets back to town.

your main char brings dominus to 10% life on the second phase then he portals back to town, you get the culler in and enjoy the loot.

then your main char uses the portal of the culler and starts a new sceptre instance.

that's so frgiign complicated, advanced gaming ftw, computer bachelor grade gaming mechanichs diploma on tha wall.

You don't need a VM since you can run multiple instances of POE without issue.

It payed off for me... I've been really lucky tho to drop something like this

Either way, I still run dominus here and there, good uniques drop too. Just team up with a MFer, because without Magic Finder in your party, it's pretty much useless to run Dominus over and over (or any other boss really).

never tried this myself, just saw somebody doing it.

i can imagine vms to be more comfortable if you want to run more than 1 additional game instance on one monitor as you just clone the VM image and it's easier to alt/tab between the different VMs if they run in windowed mode and your main game keeps running in full screen.

personally i thought about running a second game instance just for selling stuff so i don't have to leave the current party if i get contacted.
in the end it's on ggg: if they decide to implement easier trading before the new 4 months league starts where i will also start trading stuff, i don't have to.

I usually play with two instances. This allows me to get the 50% quantity bonus on bosses, easy wp access, easy trading, etc etc. My first char in a new league is on my main, the second is on my alt account. I am happy GGG allows this as it makes playing solo a little more viable compared to a GOOD party. Not on par, but closer. Pub parties just slow me down.
