BSOD Fix ( Might work for you )

Edit: I fixed this problem by cleaning out dust from my computer. :)

If you get a BSoD on your video card and your drivers are updated, then it might be a hardware issue or hardware configuration issue. Check your voltages and stuff.

As far as i can see everything seems to be running fine. I know what driver caused the problem but im still having trouble locating what it is / finding a solution for it.
Can you post the details from the BSoD using something like BlueScreenView?

Sometimes the bug check/stop code is important to determining what sort of issue it is.. the driver is only part of the equation.
The issue is sorta hardware related. But... not really. Your problem is caused by OpenAL32.dll, located in your Poe folder; more accurately, it's caused by the fact that GGG uses this particular version.

If you search the net, you'll find an OpenAL32 here and there; download and replace the default one before and after you launch. It should fix some issues.

The only real fix is to buy a new graphics card.

If your asking why im using the nvidia driver 314 and not 337, Its because originally i thought the problem was related to the 337 version so i switched back. did not help however
First I would remove your driver using driver sweeper in safe mode, then reboot as usual and install the latest driver (not beta)

If that doesn't work, repeat but install a previous driver.

If that also doesn't work, you can search google for BSOD in combination with nvlddmkm.sys and you should find some interesting possible fixes, for example:

Please stop posting about the OpenAL32 in every thread related to BSoD.. that only affects audio driver BSoD.

The error in this case is CLEARLY a video one, not at all related to sound.

yeah.. bug check code 0x00000116 is fairly common with some nvidia cards and other games. It's not a specific error to Path of Exile.

If you search for "bug check code 0x00000116 nvlddmkm.sys" on google, you'll find a lot of references and threads on the problem. Unfortunately, most I've found are pretty useless when it comes to actual solutions that work for people. But they might be worth taking a look at and see if any of them work for you (short of buying a new card).

the code 0x00000116 is actually a VIDEO_TDR_ERROR which comes from the card attempting to reset itself and failing (or the driver). It times out before the reset was completed. If your card is over-clocked or the timings on it are wrong, this can often be a cause for this error. Sometimes some cards are even set inappropriately from the manufacturer. It's worth taking a look at the settings on the card to verify they are all accurate and the timings and clock rates are all set correctly (as well as voltages). Also make sure you have a good quality PSU capable of driving your hardware.

Good luck.

Tbh i really dont know how to change the timing on my card. But as for the suggestion to search the forums etc i alredy did that. I went over all posts i could find and tried out a lot of things. Im really still hesitant to buy a new graphics card but maybe its the only solution :/
