Specify this thread, because as far as i am aware there are no unique strongboxes.

(and if you mean singularity mod . . . =/= unique strongbox)

What exactly makes unique strongboxes so appealing to botters? Why it is specifically a botting threat?

I doubt that a bot-writer would bother figuring out how to detect the unique strongbox, open it, and fight everything inside it when they could just run more "vanilla" bots that run around and pick up stuff instead (such as chance and scouring orbs).

I imagine that the strongbox won't drop Kaom's chest unless it could normally drop a glorious plate anyway, and I doubt there are very many bots running lvl68+ areas.

And even assuming that these were super easy to detect, opening them gave a Kaom's chest every time start from act1 twilight strand, and a bot could produce a Kaom's chest every microsecond, how does that "gg" the economy? The economy is more than Kaom's chests, and unless you can shatter Kaom's chests into eternal orbs, I don't quite see the problem.

Very simple, i did not read it yet today.

Hope that satisfies your curiosity?

As for the introduction of these unique strongboxes, economy won't be negatively impacted. At least not for the actual players.

(if anything the bot owners will let a tear flow)

I have no clue how you come to a different conclusion.

Just like bots use to run large chests in dread thicket and stuff

it will be done, bots have unlimited time so they can search all zones endlessly for unique boxes, wont be hard to make a build that can clear scepter of god on merciless that skips everything except a unique box

I dont really care myself, not much of a trader I just think its hilarious personally that they are just adding more stuff for the bots that regular players wont get as much benefit from

but I guess with this kind of game its hard NOT to do that lol

anyway just thought it was kinda funny, like I said I don't care personally

I'm sorry but I feel like this post equates to "Bots don't affect the market as is(or have very very minimal affect) so how is this going to change anything?"

If thats not what you meant that is definitely what it sounds like

That's absolutely not what I meant.

I had two points, which I will reiterate:
- There's nothing specifically "bottable" about unique strongboxes compared to anything else.
- The economy is >> the trade of Kaom's chests.
Just fired up PoE, expecting it to load 1.1.3 data since this thread seems to discuss the implementation of something in 1.1.3's patch.

Guess it's just another one of those threads firing shots without any real data to back up the statements.

And that's apart from the ludicrous assumption a bot will gain more profits running for these chest's only instead of just running for what they run now (masses of low end currency etc)

I am disappoint.
