Blood Magic + Spell Totem + Aura = Death
" Blood Magic Keystone combined with a 40% Aura on a Spell Totem instant kills you. This fix should maybe apply to that combination as well. Since you can still just kill yourself with that combination. maybe something in the like Auras can only reserve 99% of your life. Thoughts on this? No need to fix that. If people want to kill themselves in this game they will always find a way. Taking Chaos Innoculation and using a mana flask that takes some of the restored mana from life would be another good way to die. Pointless to fix all of that stuff, I'd call it natural selection.
Maybe dying in such a miserable way will get people to read what the skills actually do. |

Well but GGG has shown that they too think its a good idea to prevent stupid deaths like that.

Yea, but the possibilities are countless. You still can kill yourself by linking a 40%-aura with Blood Magic and e.g. Increased Area of Effect.
And if you prevent dying from linking an aura with Blood Magic, well, Chaos Innoculation users could get every aura for free then. Seriously, people need to learn to read their stuff, there is not always someone around holding their hand. |

Hm.
Maybe true, and im not super passionate about this either. I just think that there easily could be a way to prevent it. Since its pointless to let Players die like that. Nobody wins. Or they could just flat out add a bit of code that prevents you from taking any action that would drop your life below 1.
I mean it's not like you can get negative mana when using abilities, so why can you get negative health. "I can't do that" should be simple enough. |

"Getting to negative life is already disallowed. But you can get to zero mana, and therefore can get to zero life. Negatives don't enter into it. This is treated the same both for ease of understanding and because the skill being used has no idea whether you're suing life or mana, just what the cost is. " Agreed. There are many ways to kill oneself in PoE. Dying in Default doesnt matter and when someone managed to kill himself in HC, he wasnt ready. The descriptions/the text on items are/is really accurate, please GGG dont get too stressed out about such requests, concentrate the manpower on the important things (moar uniques and skills ofc :D). |

Again im not standing in front of the Offices of GGG with a Speaker Phone and a Sign demanding a Fix tomorrow.
I just wanted to provide information. Because i think a Skill to kill your self is not what GGG intended. As you see in the Blood Magic Fix they applied to the support Gem. Sure there are more important fixes but how can you not see that this is something they should improve? Who wins if you have a Kill your Character Button? The game doesn't become any better and new Players might be Turned of when this happens to them. Ign: Slimwaterman
