Dual Wielding Sceptres
|
So I have this sceptre (pretty GG imho) and I was wondering if I were to roll mana on it then mirror it, would I get a total of 166% spell dmg, 44% cast, 216% spell crit, 20% ele dmg etc? This seems the best option for high damage builds like fireball because you get the cast speed you cannot get from a shield or wand. I know there is a penalty for dual wielding swords, but is the same true with sceptres? If not, do people actually do this? |

Swords have a penalty? (besides swapping hands for most skills)?
Yes those stats would add up, but you'll be pretty glassy without a shield. |

" At the same time, if you were leeching life it might be better to do more damage instead of having a bit more protection. |

" Sounds about right. 177

While this is a pretty nice sceptre, I doubt it is worth a mirror.
You can buy another spellcast Sceptre for a couple Exalts. 3.5 build: https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/2299519

Can you even DW scepters? Think I tried once on my witch and it didn't let me. Or maybe it didn't allow mixing wand/melee weapon, don't remember.

Yes you can dual wield sceptres.
The OP's mistaken, though, in thinking that wands can't grant cast speed. Daggers are the caster weapons that cannot roll cast speed. |

" I don't actually plan on mirroring it, just in theory. |
