Zero Unique Fish were caught

So, thinking in this thread: http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/733852/page/1 we can see one special item:
Zero Unique Fish were caught.

Does this mean that the "Fish" item is actually a Unique item? What do you think will be the use for it? Can someone tell if this item is released in the actual version of the game?

I had notice that a few persons in Ambush got a Fishing rod drop, so I don't really think is a troll-thing, just we don't know how to use the fish-related items yet. What do you think?

No one knows how to fish (if you even can, lol)
All the big trollers do is talk about how OP the unique rod is even tho it has no use.
Perhaps the actual game is just so boring for them at this point all they can do is fantasize about fishing.

Everyone knows there's no more action packed experience than a day out fishing... in a video game...

I think we don't know how to use the fish-related items yet because of all that troll-info. But it's just a matter of time.

I disagree, the best part about that game that no one plays anymore, WoW, was the Fishing.. At least it was MY favorite part.. >_<

Fishing is an old and forced meme.

A while back GGG posted a screen shot of someone fishing, it was posted as an April's fool joke way back in CB.

Then it became a popular meme on the forum, and then for a little while GGG included fishing rods as a base item in the game and added mods for the items in case some one wanted to roll the base items.

Now they can no longer drop and the people who did manage to get some, got to keep them as legacy items in Standard (and possibly vanilla HC), now everytime someone mentions fishing these people will come into threads and post their legacy rods along with stupid stories of how to get one.


We really need better memes on this forum.
