Any unofficial way to use a gamepad like Torchlight?
I know it probably sounds weird to most ARPG gamers, but Torchlight on the 360 really used the gamepad pretty brilliantly and was fun to play. I sadly have no life and play PoE too much to the point where my right hand is cramping up. I'm wondering if there's any way possible to use a PC gamepad to map out controls and play PoE with it. I did a search on the forum here but didn't really see much. I wonder if I could bribe a programmer to get this to work for me =p

A guy on youtube managed it with Diablo 3. You can try watching his video and seeing if you can apply it to Path of Exile.

Buy a controller. Download XPadder. Simple.

I ended up using that JoyToKey program with my 360 controller, I'm actually blown away by how fun this game is on a gamepad. I'm still toying around with bindings to be as I like, but I have the left analog stick controlling the mouse at a relatively normal/faster speed which is good for combat, my right analog stick controls the mouse as well but with a much lower sensitivity so I can accurately click on any items or waypoints, etc.
It'll take some getting used to, but this is on par with a mouse IMO. This would be a little harder to use for some classes that require you to actually click on enemies, but I'm playing a necromancer so it's quite easy. |

Maybe post your joy2key profile when done? Or list it here?

" Nope. |

" Nice only quoting half of my point. For a Necromancer that never has to click on monsters, this really is no different than using a mouse and keyboard. Like I said, it'll take some practice getting used to, but this game really don't require incredibly fast reaction times. As I said, this will not be effective for most builds, but for mine it works brilliantly. |

" Still toying with it, I'll post it here if you like when I am done configuring everything. |

" You have to tone down the sensitivity of the mouse cursor which already means you're operating at a slower pace whether it's aiming abilities or picking up items. Thus it isn't on par. There's no need to get defensive. It's a fact that countermands your opinion. |
