game client takes forever to load?

does anyone else experience this whenever they try to load the client?

I notice it definitely takes a very long time to load up initially these days. Subsequent loads don't take nearly as long, probably because some of the game is being left in memory if I don't do too many other things in between.

I think it's just the result of the standard problem of, as more and more patches land, the game data gets both larger and more distributed across your hard drive. Thus it takes much longer for your computer to grab everything it needs to load. I'm just spitballing here, though.

If that is the problem though, you could uninstall/reinstall the game. Might get all the game data closer together so it loads quicker.

i wish there was some kind of loading progress bar being displayed. at least i would know if the client is responding at all, or just crashed (loading takes over 5 minutes sometimes)
