So this just happened (fishing rod...)

I was playing on a lower level character, running through the ship graveyard. Got the all flame, killed fairgraves and he dropped a fishing rod. Thought that was pretty cool so I equipped it and my map lights up with green exclamation marks along the coast.

How do I active them?

Not sure if trolling....

I believe you need a lure for a start. Rhoa feathers probably.

i found this post and the interesting picture.

I tried to create new area instances of the ship graveyard until I have the same map layout as in the picture with the exclamation mark and I finally succeeded (without the exclamation marks in my instance).

There I made a very interesting discovery. The map layout contains the "fish head" as described here https://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/1375560

Is it "just" getting this map layout and killing Fairgraves while using a Fairgraves' Tricorne hoping to get a fishing rod drop to get the exclamation marks in the water?
