Orb of Augmentation recipe

This has been discussed at length before, I'm sure. But, this was brought up in chat and I think it would be an ideal replacement for the aug recipe... which, frankly, irks people on a regular basis. Why on earth would I want an aug in place of a more lucrative pile of alt/alch shards?

There SHOULD be an aug recipe, but the current one is a loss. I propose that instead of the current, 6-mod recipe, why not make it a full set of blue gear? This way, people who want augs without trading have a way to get them, and everyone else gets more alchs.

Thoughts?

I think it's fine the way it is right now.

You want more alchs because they're rare. If they made them less rare, you would want them less.

Just say no to "creep".

I want alchs because I actually use them on a regular basis. I vendor augs to make alts... That is to me and many others the only use they have.

This is a strange argument to me, by the way. Exalts are rarer, yet anyone I deal with on a regular basis knows I give half of them away. Without trading, exalts are almost useless to me.

Why are you trying to take away my Augs? I love my Augs, man! And my Augs love me!

But Clive, I hate getting augs when I want alch shards or alt shards. And the proposed recipe makes perfect sense, heck even make it so an unid set gives 2 and bango, goo aug recipe good alt shard returns.

Absolute madness. I'd say that Orbs of Augmentation are probably THE most valuable currency. To remove this recipe would break the entire economy of the game. Everything, whether you realize it or not, revolves around Orbs of Augmentation.

I personally think the augmentation orb is one of THE WORST orbs in the game, its not valuable enough to turn into a main trading currency and they also dont vendor into wisdoms like transmutes and portals do.

Edit. Which means they almost always get traded into alts anyways.
