What Are Fishing Rods Worth

Hey guys, just curious what people think fishing rods should be going for, just trying to not get ripped off, thanks for any help guys!
i think you asked the wrong question.

what about "what are there for?"
before anyone knows their use they are worth nothing imo.

I think you're wrong, people pay what they deem something's worth, this can be based on a number of things. In this case it's the items rarity and mystery, but other things like people's faith in the dollar to keep its value also work. Just because something doesn't have a known intrinsic use, doesn't mean something doesn't have value, my question was fine.

yeah and the huge amount of replies proof you right.

i think they are 10000 ex worth. now go and buy one but pls dont let you get ripped off ;-p
Hm, clearly you've got your mind set, not gonna argue with you, I was only asking for what people had observed rods being sold at, not your snarky comments and opinions about item values and why you think items that have no intrinsic value, hold no value, when they very clearly do.
atm your question is similar to "what does a no use collectible cost"

as such, price is only based on two things: rarity and how much a collector is willing to spend on it.

rarity is your minimum threshold, collector's pocket your maximum, so based on their rarity i would wager they go from 20c-1ex to infinity

I was more looking for experiences, from the threads I've seen, I've seen offers of 80 exalt, some of 55, and things around that mark. I was just curious was other people had experienced in their days, I've sure the 4-odd threads I've seen aren't the only rods around.
I'm going to laugh my ass off when they implement fishing and it's either a useless mechanic or fishing rods start dropping like crazy. People that pay 80 exalt for something that does absolutely nothing are pretty darn gullible. Matter of fact I have 500 scroll fragments, I hear they are going to be the next vendor recipe for mirrors, I'll sell them for a measly 50 exalts...
Fishing rods are worth as much as a classic car that has had its engine replaced with cotton candy and all the wiring replaced with dental floss.
