Ice Shot or Rain Arrows?

Rain Arrows has just got a buff so it seems to be quite a viable option for AoE but Ice Shot slows in a patch and hits monsters behind the monster that was hit so its more defensively. Which do you guys think is better for Softcore?

i put them in my stash and using lightning arrow and poison arrow atm.

I was wondering if I should go back to Lightning Arrow but I want a bit of defensive gameplay aswell for survival late game which is why I thought of Ice Shot which is quite nice cause if you have the mana to support it, it will be very easy to kite mobs.

rain might need more support gem to be strong. or like 10+ mobs

I Love the new rain of arrows tbh. Was planning on going elemental again with this build, but when I was running my ranger through to Brutus to get LA I got hooked on it. There is just something awesome about arrows falling from the sky decimating everything that LA just doesn't have.

Unfortunately, I think its end game damage will still fall well short of elemental builds, but I'm going to give it a try anyways. With a very high phys%/phy roll on the bow it could be possible (Lioneye for example).
