Resistance Numbers for Bosses
Due to gear limitations during tests, bosses with * have an estimated range.
Adding 1% will put them at negative resistance (curse penalty included) p.s. Elemental Equilibrium will give -50% resistance to bosses with no penalty (not a curse). Cruel

I don't get it, so you just wrote in a long post what everyone can see ingame just by hovering over the monster with their cursor?

just because it's visible doesnt mean that people actually see it :)

We can get real numbers on monster resistance by using this information.
Cruel Piety (Resist Chaos, Resist Elements) Double curse EW & Flame [(46+46=92)]/2=46 (curse boss penalty) == new mods "Resist Light + Resist Cold" Double curse EW & Flame [(36+46=82)]/2=41(curse penalty boss) == no new mods We now know Cruel Piety's overcap fire resistance is between 46 & 41 Summing up "Resist X" == 75% or more resistance towards said resistance (resistance not shown is under 75%) "Resist Elements" == 75% or more Fire, Cold, Light resistance "Vulnerable to x" == negative resistance "Vulnerable to Elemental Resistance" == negative Fire, Cold, Light resistance Elemental damage based characters could use this information to choose the best support gems to maximize DPS. (increased burning vs fire penetration) Last edited by sai_kano#3544 on Dec 29, 2013, 2:57:23 PM

When I curse merciless Piety with 20/20 ele weakness it still says "Resists Elemental Damage" however it clearly makes me do more damage and allows me to shock. I'm thinking that the resist descriptor doesn't necessarily mean 75.
You're also completely forgetting that curses have half effect on bosses. sry ive seen godly and godlys dont lose hp wich wuold pretty much be a smiter with life tap

" Thank you for the correction. I wonder if there's a penalty for Elemental Equilibrium on bosses. EE is not a curse so it might actually be really good for bosses. Last edited by sai_kano#3544 on Dec 29, 2013, 2:08:53 PM

using varying levels of ele weak and single ele curses you can probly find out monster resits within 1-2 points.
data like this is huge when determining the viability of certain elements vs others though atm everything in maps is 75% ele resist. IGN: Arlianth

"No. Things display their resistance well below 75%. Last edited by Mark_GGG#0000 on Dec 29, 2013, 6:39:55 PM
