(PVP) Best Class, Build?

My first post!

So my friend and I PVP a lot together in other games and we're going to try PoE. What ranged classes should we roll since we'll mostly be playing together? (I've seen some people note that the class isn't as important as the build, but we have to start somewhere. Which class, build do you recommend please?) Thanks in advance!

Any tips?

any class running flickerstrike and doublestrike with a shield, ranged and casters get dunked in pvp. dont even think about using a bow.

Puncture bow got a lot better in 1.03. Explosive Arrow has been good for a while if you have the skills to use it.

For casters, EK caster is very solid.

2h is a bit underpowered atm, the only reason they're even playable is legacy kaoms.

1h/shield is good as mentioned above.

Someone can correct me if im wrong but ive only seen pvp for lvl28 and lower.
after that there is none.
Considering it takes a few hours of play to get over 28....

There is PvP in Merciless.
