best support gems for split arrow?

I hear that LMP and fork are not woth the dmg reduction

building a physical dmg ranger so gonna run split arrow

pierce maybe?

- Mana Leech
- Faster Attacks
- Faster Projectiles
- Culling Strike
- Iron Grip
- Pierce
- Added Cold/Fire/Lightning/Chaos Damage
- Life Gain on Hit

You don't really need LMP or GMP as Split Arrow already shoots 5 arrows at once, having that built in crowd-control feature. Fork and LMP/GMP will just further decreased the damage that Split Arrow does.

The exception is Chain, as that support is supposed to hit 2 additional targets (the nerf for OB) and you can theoretically hit up to 15 targets. (5 + 5*2)

Decreased mana if you're not Blood Magic is good, but definitely take faster attacks and chains, both awesome on split arrow

On the subject of blood magic! I see a lot of rangers go down that path. How do you keep your HP regen up for blood magic. Flask spams?? Thanks!!

Lots of Life and life regen, so take a look at this very basic template that focuses strictly on life and life regen while reaching BM:



You use a lot points, but your Ranger will be tanky and not hindered by mana.

Split arrow is phenomenal for hybrid or elemental builds. It's not the best option if you want to shoot yourself in the foot by doing physical damage though. Frenzy+LMP/GMP or Rain of Arrows is the better option.
With that being said, the gems I personally use on Split Arrow are:
- Weapon Elemental Damage
- Increased Critical Damage (If on a char that uses Diamond Flasks)
- Chain
- Faster Attacks
- Life/Mana Leech (You only need one; Mana Leech for builds that use mana, and Life Leech for - Blood Magic)
- Culling Strike

Will keep that in mind thanks!! What are good gems with rain of arrow? The only problem I have with rain of arrow is it comes out really slow for me

also what about lightning strike converts 50% of physical dmg into lightning dmg? would this be good for physical builds?

I use Split with Fork, and I love it. Now, granted, it's not a skill to use in every situation, but rather when you have a shitload of enemies in a group and you really need to send arrows flying *everywhere*. It's really good at thinning the crowds so that you can use your main skills to finish them off.

Don't forget explosive arrow. I spend a while choosing between EA, RoA and SA and found EA to be far and away the best

The tooltip damage doesn't do it justice. The explosion part is where the damage adds up
