Cast when Damage Taken + Traps/Mines
Is it intentionally designed so that traps/mines don't work with Cast when Damage Taken while totems do work with CwDT? Was disappointed when I tried to use Smoke Mine + CwDT on my duelist and found that it didn't work.

Yes. Summoning a Totem is casting, but placing mines/throwing traps is not casting anything.

" Why does Silence stop me from throwing lightning traps then? A scion may be born of the rich, and as such hold more opportunity...
but a scion will never be able to appreciate the finer beauty of those less fortunate. |

"That's a bug. I'll make a note to have it looked into. | |
Many thanks. I found it odd that I couldn't throw spell traps if I couldn't cast them ^^

Silence doesn't stop trap/mine laying. It just stops the trap from triggering and casting the spell. If the traps are supposed to trigger without using the spell while I'm silenced, then it's bugged.

Just wanted to make a post about how bad wording is in this case, and that it gets more and more complex...
But i was wrong. It's just logic. Traps and Mines --> Spells --> Thrown and Laid --> No benefit from cast speed or support gems taht cast stuff (CwDT, CwS,...) Totems --> also spells --> cast --> behaves like every other spell Took me a bit to realize ;) "The one who dies with the most toys is still dead."

If a trap says 'spell' and the trigger is 'when a supported spell..' then it should work. The technicality of the guy physically bending down to place a trap on the ground doesnt negate the fact that its classified as a spell. you're just making stuff up now to suit yourself but the wording is clear and doesn't support what you are saying.
