Life Leech or Life on Hit ?

what would you use and why in combination with your attack skill linked to a bm gem ?

i have used life leech before and it was okish, never have played with life on hit though so i cant really say for myself what exactly the pros and cons are of life on hit compared to life leech.

i do know how the mechaniks work for both gems but dont know exactly where to put it since up until nemesis started i played only dual totem builds ^^


i appreciate any info on that matter :)


tl:dr version --> in which situations is leech better and in which ones is life on hit better

Life on hit is better for AOE attack's.

Life leech is better for bosses or 1 on 1.

( Like for my archer its best to use loh with my lightning arrow becuse of aoe it gives back more life then BM or mobs can hit ( most the time )But life leech not so well becuse it is a slow regin )


( Life leech is better for bosses becuse each hit is like useing a heath pot, So life regains inbetween each attack but )

Anyways thats my thoghts on it.

Life on Hit as stated is good when you AoE, as every hit gives you a set amount of HP. Life Leech heels a % of your damage, and most single target skills do a lot to 1 mob, the damage from that gets converted into heals. Quality Life Leech accelerates the rate the healed HP goes back into your HP pool.

Also I'm fairly certain that LGOH is instant so if you are getting DPS'd the hell out of by a large pack you can sustain yourself better than with life leech due to the 20% restriction so LGOH wins in some regards.
