Cast on melee kill does not work it's crap

I have attempted to try and get this thing to work for the last hour, and it is very very bugged.

Am I doing something wrong here? I use a melee skill and kill something and nothing is triggering.

It is in a socket linked to the ability you are killing things with, correct?

That seems unlikely. It's probably in a different item entirely, only linked to the skill the OP wants to cast, which is why it isn't working.

Yes I have it properly linked. I was using ground slam a MELEE SKILL and and was killing stuff and none of it triggered. You cannot use the skills that is linked to it in the slot, so WTF?

show your item that has the cast on kill linked in.

Oh your using ground slam, ground slam is a projectile it does not work with it. you have to click the target and attack it for it to work.

It needs to be linked to ground slam, and also the skill you want to cast.

Eg: Ground slam - cast on melee kill - ice nova - conc effect - Faster attacks.

It invalidates ground slam, you can't use the skill. Hence cast on melee doesn't work

Again, this skill does not work. How do I get this to work properly? Can someone please speak to me like I'm 5 years old?

I'm thinking it needs to be a targeted melee skill, such as heavy strike/double strike etc. try it with one of those first.

Wow, that's weird. Ground slam is a melee attack skill, so it should work.

If it greys-out ground slam, though, then maybe it's a bug that wit thinks ground slam is a spell or something. And maybe you can get cast on melee kill to auto-cast ground slam?!
