How to remove gem from item?

I will ask if its possible to remove gem from items? Im interested of the posibility to destroy item to get the gem or transfer gem to other item/weapon? Thanks for answer

Hey, you simply right click on the equiped gem and then you can put it in the inventory and sell or drop the gear.

And how to do this on PS5? it doesn't work for me :(
