Best weapons imbalance
So we were recently shown the newest best weapon ever:

![]() We can see from details that it has affixes: 1) "Flaring", which can add 25-45 dmg to base weapon damage (max values) 2) "Tyrannical", which can add 169% increased local (weapon) physacal damage (max value) 3) "Emperor's", which can add another 80% local (weapon) physical damage (max value) 4) of Celebration, which can add 27% attack speed (max value) Two others are crit connected, which doesn't work with any build (Resolute Technique), so I do not include them in calculations. So the formula of getting max DPS crafted damage is ((weapon base min damage + 25 + weapon base max damage + 45)/2)*(1+249%+20%)*(weapon base attack speed * 1,27) Jeweled Foil is a 26-48 dmg weapon with 1,7 attack speed, so the best possible to craft is ((26+25+48+45)/2)*(1+249%+20%)*(1,7*1,27), which is 574 dps. I checked other 1h weapons and even if there are weapons with higher base DPS, it is not possible to get a weapon with higher crafted DPS. Because of attack speed, the final multiplier of damage. And it's quite imbalance, especially considering how reflect damage + life leech works. It's usually far better for survivability to use faster and weaker attacks than slower and powerful attacks, with same DPS. So I propose rebalancing "fastest" weapons, decreasing their base attack speed by 0,1 for all weapons which have attack speed over 1,5. So 1,7 Jeweled Foil would have 1,6 base attack speed, 1,6 weapons would be 1,5, and then they would be much more comparable to slower weapons. It is just wrong that best Thrusting 1h weapon is about 10% better than best mace or best sceptre. No, they should have increase maximum damage of slower 1 hands, not reduce aps, that would be no fun =p

Highest DPS will however be Crit Daggers (with an appropriate build), due to insane scaling.

they could just reduce the number of offensive based mods so these stupidly rare and triple stacking items cease to exist
and then buff the individual mods. to get that weapon you need minimum 4 perfect attack mods. that's simply unreasonable. |
