Install Error "problem with this windows installer package" -FIX BELOW

I am having problems installing it, it gives me this error:
"There is a problem with this windows installer package. A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected. Contact your support personnel or package vendor." I should mention that the installer was running and i get this error in the middle of installation, right after it like was creating shortcuts etc. It says like 3/4 of the status bar - before completion. I am running as admin user. I tried all the suggested fixes in the forum like updating my MS reditributable, MS fix it - cleaning registry, executing as .bat - etc and all the suggested workarounds but still having same issues. Don't use the installer then to install Path of Exile.
Instead, make a folder on your drive where you want Path of Exile to be installed to. I'd recommend somewhere NOT in C:\Program Files\ as that requires Admin to update, etc. It causes all sorts of patching nightmares. I'd use something like C:\Games\Path of Exile\. After you've created the folder, save this file into that folder, then run it. It should download all the required files to play Path of Exile. You can then make a shortcut of that EXE and place the shortcut on your desktop, or in your Start Menu if you'd like. |

so I have FIXED it by: (steps below)
1. actually letting the error screen stay, don't press "ok" on the error. 2. there should be a "path of exile" shortcut on your desktop, to go to desktop press "windowskey+M" or "windowskey+D" or another way is to right click on your taskbar and press "show desktop" 3. double click on the POE-shortcut to start download. 4. After download, right click on the POE shortcut and select "open file location", copy all the grinding gears folder to another location say your desktop (wherever). 5. press "ok" to the error it will rollback, but no worries you have your copy now which is why you did copy the grinding gears folder. 6. Go to the Path of exile launch icon and create your own shortcut 7.
