Best class for new players

What's the best class to start with for a new player? I have a basic knowledge of ARPGs because of Torchlight 2 and the Diablo series.

Classes are different in this game.

The only difference between classes is where they start on the passive tree.

To be honest, if you are obsessive about min maxing, I would google poe builds to get an "idea" of what you want, however things have changed because there is a new passive tree.

If you are like me, just pick a class and play around until you figure things out, you will more than likely reroll your first character.

Marauder or a Witch would most likely feel most accessible to new players. The Marauder, is a pure strength class. The Witch is a spell caster. You can make crazy builds with either that defy their 'roles' but one of these classes would probably be a good place to start.

Go Marauder if you want to go melee

Roll a witch if you wish to be a spell caster or necro.
