Launching in windowed mode?

I have searched but can't seem to find any command line parameters to launch PoE in windowed mode. Is this possible?
In other words I know I can change to windowed mode when I launch but is there a parameter like -w to add to the command line to start it automatically? IGN: Spectarz Last bumped on Feb 24, 2024, 9:09:41 AM

In your My Documents/My Games/Path of Exile folder, there is a production_Config.ini file that has these settings.
These are the lines you will want to set to make it windowed mode: borderless_windowed_fullscreen=false fullscreen=false I'm not aware of a command you can add to the shortcut if you want two different Path of Exile shortcuts for windowed and fullscreen. I tried doing a quick and dirty replacement of the ini file loading so you could use 2 diff. shortcuts without an exe flag... but the loading of the config file doesn't appear in plain text :(
If there is no flag, then an alternative is using a batch file to change the values and then launch the game. If you have account problems please [url="http://www.pathofexile.com/support"]Email Support[/url]

We're going to add this to the game later, as it'd also be useful for testing purposes!

This has been asked for in 2012... Why haven't they implemented that damn --windowed switch yet, despite the promise?

I would like to find a solution for it in 2024, is it possible achieve lauching from different config files or maybe make two different game clients load different configs?

You can do it with virtual machines, running client by different users(best option), using sandbox-based isolation software. I am not sure that every version on Windows system can do that, but running client by different user will make it work without duplicating game files. You just need to put config in the proper user account document directory. On Probation Any%
