Best Dungeon Crawler Ever Made?

Ive been in the beta for a while now and can honestly say as far as content, customization, and game play goes this for me is in the running for best dungeon crawler ever made. Ive played them all especially d2Lod, was a huge fan. And with D3 being the let down it was i feel like GGG has filled the void in my heart. Thanks guys! just wanted to see what yall think about it and why you like. HC race starting in hour and a half! cant wait. most fun ive had in a video game in years. also this was my first post. popping my forum cherry seeing as how id like to be deeper into this games community. :D

Their are alot of crawlers I like, one of my recent favorites has to be Monsters Den. It is a free flash game on kongregate. The older versions are better than the newer with the animations.

For the record, I don't think we can call Path of Exile a dungeon crawler. The largest 'dungeon' (outside of maps) has three levels so far, not including the sneaky layout of the Ancient Pyramid.
Is it the best ARPG I've ever played? I think so, yes. But Diablo 1 still owns the crown for best Dungeon Crawler in my eyes, mainly because the whole game was one big dungeon. ...Although Dungeon Crawler does sort of invite more games to the party than the standard 'ARPG' classification. For example, Eye of the Beholder and Ultima Underworld. They both did 'more' for me as Dungeon experiences than PoE, and what little I've played of Grimrock indicates that the true 'dungeon crawler' is anything but dead. And they said *I* was bad at PoE. " Couldn't agree more. I remember being really scared in Ultima Underworld as I walked down a dark corridor, turned a corner and quite literally bumped into a headless. Those two games (Ultima Underworld 1 and 2) were fantastic dungeon crawlers. I sort of wish we could get an Ultima Underworld 3, but then again, sometimes it's best to leave the memories as just memories. While I love the new XCom, there are too many games that's been ruined by a reboot. Syndicate, anyone? But to get back on topic, I think the best ARPG I've played was Darkstone. Yeah, Darkstone was brilliant. It handled quest pools even better than diablo 1.
