what does Empower support gem do ?

what does this support gem do ? i cant find any info about it anywhere ...any info would be great

It increase the level of ACTIVE skill gem linked(I assume not support gems) by +1 or +2, but only after it has been leveled, which takes forever and a half. (fitting it in a +1 gem level item works) Last edited by Appren#1115 on Sep 22, 2013, 8:15:15 AM

" I dont think we know for sure yet. At level three(the highest level of the gem) it is +2 but I am not sure if it can be put in a +1 gem item and give +3 yet. I dont think anyone has a level three yet, so you are going to have to wait till then to know for sure. IGN
