[EDIT: 6 fail!] My 10 predictions for POE

While waiting for the 0.11.6 trapfest, here are my predictions for POE:

1) 0.11.6 will be the last open beta content patch

0.11.6 will come on late september, and it may be delayed on early october. This leaves 4 weeks before release, so I don't think there is time for other content patches; there may, however, be some 0.11.6* patch with unique items and fixes.
Outcome: WIN!

2) 1.0.0 release on late october/early november [EDIT: also website revamp]

The current target is late october, but given the size of the expansion there may be some delay and I wouldn't be surprised to see 1.0.0 on early november.
[EDIT: at least the game presentation pages will be updated with act3+3x with new monster bio and lore. There could be also a revamp of other graphical aspects]
[EDIT: It's officail, the profile page will be updated! This counts as partial win!]
Outcome: Partial WIN, because no act3+3x monster bio

3) Anarchy and Onslaught coming as map mods

It has been said that rogue exile will come on permanent league, and I think the most sensible way is by map mods. Bonus points if they come one as prefix and another as suffix, so that we can roll a Anarchy's map of the Onslaught or a Onslaught map of the Anarchy. Running unidentified maps will be even more exciting!
[EDIT: somebody suggested that Onslaught=Fleet, so this is likely to fail]
Outcome: Epic FAIL! Rogue exiles will spawn in all leagues, because they were intended to work like this from the beginning.

4) Season 5 on early/mid november, "descent 2" with act3x content and new demigod

After 1.0.0 GGG will create Descent 2 (which will contain act3x content and the act3x boss), so my guess is that 2-3 weeks after release the new season will start.
Closed beta had demigod's presence, Open beta had demigod's triumph and stride for 2 seasons each. It makes sense that release has another demigod item.
Outcome: WIN!

5) New 4 month leagues starting on late november 2013

That's it. Around mid-season 5 the new leagues will start. Like this time, there will be 2 leagues: one softcore and one hardcore
Outcome: FAIL! They start on release, but they are 2: one hardcore and one softcore

6) New art for 1.1.0, on late november/early december 2013

0.10.1 brought the new gem art, 0.11.1 brought the new helmet art; my guess is that we will see new cool art on 1.1.0
Outcome: FAIL! But we actually got a ton of feature on release. BTW, the numbering scheme is different.

7) 1.2.0 on January 2014, start of monthly patch cycle

1.2.0 will probably add some feature and/or some new skill/support. However, I'm expecting to see less frequent patches (monthly cycle) but with bigger content (by comparison, now we get a patch about every 2 weeks)
Outcome: FAIL! We got biweekly patches with ton of content. I still wonder how they manage to pull them however.

8) Forum trading and guild support on late 2013/early 2014 [EDIT: also security buff]

After 1.0.0 is released, the next top priority is probably forum trading and guild support. Both require some major engineering on the web side. They may roll out together or not, but my estimate is that by late 2013/early 2014 they will come (or at least one of the two)
[EDIT: Forum trading will open a door for hackers and scammers. A security buff for the website will be mandatory]
Outcome: Epic FAIL for me, big win for everybody! Guild support is available on release!

9) Act 4 on late summer 2014, Act 5 on late spring 2015

This is really wild guessing, but still...

Bonus 1) Sceptre of God with Kaom, Hyrri and Voll

What will be inside the Sceptre of God? My prediction is an epic fight with not one, not two, but THREE big badasses!
Outcome: Epic FAIL, of course!

EDIT: Bonus 2) Act 3x finish at level 68, Act3 is rebalanced accordingly, Maps level unchanged

So many reasons behind this, and I think Chris has hinted at this previously. I also don't think that suddenly maps get a level bump.
Outcome: WIN!

I hope not. That might the most boring and obvious way to make use of those mods. Usually GGG does better than that.
It was my understanding that Act "3X" was to be finished before release, and release will have Act 4. I don't know anything besides what's in the announcements though. Chris likes to hint.
I'm expecting them to hit their target date of October for release. No company works like GGG.

I also think that standard and onslaught league will simply have exiles roaming around like anarchy does. They have had enough time to balance it by now...

I think that any new leagues should drop with the release in October. That would be the most sensible way to set things up, and ideally the next season would start then or a week or two after.

I also think the appropriate time to release any new trading set-up would be with release. It's fine if they hold it back, but that would be a huge draw to bring back some people who have left.

Buy more from their shop, give them more money and desync will be fixed. :P
There already is an 'Onslaught' map mod - Fleet (20-25% increase mob movement speed, attack speed, cast speed)
