I didn't even get to try the patch. While client was preparing to download W7 crashed, BSOD (my first W7 BSOD in two years running it). Now, when I try to start PoE I'm told Content.ggpk is corrupt and to re-download by running client again.
Content.ggpk is 6.66GB. (hmmm....!) Unfortunately today is the last day of my ISP month, I have 5GB of quota left and a friend on the bus, coming to play PoE with me. Friend is due to leave at 10.30pm (NZ time) and my quota re-sets at midnite. :-( Shame, we've had this planned for weeks. How big is the patch? Is it bad when I love it when people complain about their build getting broken because of a 'fix'? Generally, if you're making your builds based on items or mechanics which are not supposed to be played that way, I feel you'll have to be mentally prepared to accept that they are gonna fix it soon enough. Same with alpha's howl lol.

" You did mean you had 5 (or 6?) Bear Traps, right? If not, what's with the 15 Bear Traps? Why do you need that many? The reason I mention 6 is because all traps have a base trap use of 3 per trap gem. Therefore, if you are using 2 Bear Traps, the total number of uses would be 6, not 5. Anyway, I do agree they need to at least UP the amount of default trap uses (by at least 1 more.) When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. Just because a game receives a great amount of praise vs. only a small amount of criticism does not mean to call it a day and make a foolish misplaced assumption that it is perfect. " No, it's not bad at all IF whoever is complaining doesn't have good reason to, notably when they know very well their build is OP only because of exploitation of a potential bug or mechanic. However, people like me bringing up problems with traps is a viable complaint in that traps were not and are not considered the main metagame, nor were they really overpowered, especially Fire Traps. This may be exception to the rule of Bear Traps, but I don't use those. Even before the changes were made to traps in these Patch Notes, the damage output of traps like Fire Trap were borderline at best during end-game, even when supported with Fire Penetration and using the Flammability Curse. Before these changes, I would have to use the Flammability Curse and 4 to 5, or sometimes all 6 Fire Traps to take down tough mobs and single targets via bosses in Merciless. Now, Fire Traps are under-powered in that I don't have enough traps to deal enough steady damage. Therefore, yes, I am asking GGG to consider adding 1 more additional default trap use for all traps. P.S. The trap node to allow trappers to LAY (not have) 1 more trap (for many trappers) is out of the way on the Skill Tree and wasteful. However, this does not apply if you're a Shadow, but even then some trappers still think the node useless. When game developers ignore the criticism that would improve their game, the game fails. 4 imediate things I noticed upon playing a little:

I have insane frame rate loss when moving mouse... Same issue anyone? Game become unplayable :-(
