I would rather fight against the Prime Evil named "Horrible customization", or maybe his brother "Terrible itemization", not to mention their sister "this plot stinks".

Curious...I'm guessing this is a troll but if not very intriguing, that does look akin to blizzard art.

I've read somewhere in the darkest depths of Diablo lore, about a fourth realm of existence. Outside of Sanctuary, the High Heavens, and the Burning Hells, is another realm where all creation was spawned. It was written there may be a being in this mystery realm capable of destroying all others. I'd love to see the story arch in that direction, to get more insight into the creation (Anu and Tathamet) and what forces lingered behind after the beginning of the Eternal Conflict.

Anyways...maybe its not a Prime Evil, but something 'new' and foreign to those not educated on Diablo lore.


Edit: Just saw the Book of Tyrael announcement that picture was ripped from. I'm inclined to believe that depicts an event from the past, though I don't recognize the staff wielding warriors off the top of my head. This may be an illustration of the ancient Vizjeirei and one of their fateful summonings.

So instead of going after Adria, who might be pursuing her own personal godhood or some such, it's yet more pursuit of big, dumb visual effects.

But after the plot-butchering of the main, why would I expect the expansion to be different?

At first glance, I thought the monsters right hand was actually his right leg, and his right leg looked like a giant penis.
