Why not just have two tabs for parties, trading parties and normal parties. Just choose your party type when you open your instance and be done with it until you decide to change it.

Please just add a trade notification tab, so people can just post their WTT stuff there. Add a field for entering more details about the trade, or things that people want to trade. Also make it so clicking on the topic will whisper the poster, as opposed to clicking on the party title will join that party.

This way, majority of the trade party will be gone because they mainly use it so they don't have to repeat the same thing over and over again in trade chat.


The trade system will still be very hard to navigate, maybe even harder than currently as more and more people can post without having to not be in a party (in a way, trade channel will still be better method to grab attention). But at least navigating parties becomes much easier now.

Maybe GGG needs to add in some classification of parties so they can add a layer of sorting?

i.e. for people who want to have a "trade" party, have that as a category. For those who are actually farming, that'd be another one.. etc etc?
