Nerfing ES passives is horrible and shouldn't be done. The problem as always, and you don't get it, is that a piece of ES gear shouldn't be able to have 1000 ES on it. This is the exact same problem with Kaoms Heart. You have passives that are % based and you allow single hp/es stats to be ridiculously high, making any nerf to %s bigger for those that don't have best in slot gear and just a mere nuisance to those with the best gear. If you want to fix ES, lower the % bonus that gear can roll or the flat additional, don't nerf the stats that everyone relies on.

This is especially disappointing to anyone who either is or was thinking of playing a CI melee build with hybrid gear. it's that much harder to get the right amount of ES and armor now to survive, but for those that run and hide after they cast their totems, no big deal right?

Bridge the game between gear, don't screw people with passives "fixes".

I agree. The problem isn't the passive tree percentages, it's the ridiculously high energy shield values on the equipment itself. You keep reducing the passive tree percentages, the more we need to find equipment with the ridiculously high energy shield values to make the passive nodes worth anything.
Overall great changes, but losing 100% increased crit chance makes me a sad puppy.

1- This amount of leech nerf(10-20%)doesnt matter much in cases where you 1 shot yourself, and im talking about aoe ref, and it can be dealt with. vaal pact also helps you stay at full ES when you reflect instead of making you vulnerable while leeching w/o VP.

2- Ok the nerf shouldnt be leech % based, how about add a drawback to ghost reaver: you leech at 30% slower rate.

3- Remember vaal is there and its the same, GR+CI alone is the combo I'm finding it too strong for a mandatory boon being CI. GR w/o CI is fine however, so a GR nerf should be more thought about maybe.
GR could be "Your life leeched is split between ES and Life". This would make hp/ES a lot more viable, and it would be a 50% nerf to vaal pact + lowlife/CI users. Buff CI accordingly.

Really good patch overall, although the IR change is a weird way to nerf it, unless there's a Dex buff in sight.

And as usual, players who can't spend more than 15 hours a week on the game and get/buy gear which value several exalted are fucked. Great.

Thats like saying you wanna earn the same amount of money of someone who studied maths(phd), when you didnt spend as much time and studied history or something. lol

No change will make you as strong as dedicated people with lots of time. Get over it.
Patch overall looks good but the ES changes where just another mistake. It was clear you broke the balance between hp and es with the nerf to life nodes but the answer was to buff life to even itself with es not nerf es.

Melee builds still needed a small buff defensive wise and instead of giving it to them you nerfed ES.... so now ci and health melee are worse thanks.

Not only that but most CI players end game aim for a Shav armour with a low life build, you made it even more clear this is the choice to go with the nodes behind CI being a lot worse.
"Melee Splash now has a line of sight check. You will not be able to Splash past walls or other objects that block line of sight from the target point of the attack."

Hmmm so, line of sight checks exist. Now what else could those be used for .. hmmm
not enough time for gaming!

Twitch Streaming:

With bazillions of problems pending, you wasted yours devs time on this useless feature? I'm very disappointed...

Personally, I don't care about Twitch nor any of the streamers. However, it's in GGG's best interest to integrate Twitch into PoE. It's free social media advertising.
Unnecessary CI nerfs.

It's like you just can't leave well enough alone.

The reason people go CI is because your chaos damage design is so flawed. You see people going CI and just keep nerfing it.

If you want fewer people CI, then try unclusterfucking chaos damage so builds with 800 hp and 3000 ES can survive for more than .5s in a poison arrow cloud.

Meanwhile, my 100 hp/sec regen duelist just did merc western forest with -50% chaos resist and never dipped under 75% hp.

Not to mention this was mostly all webcode, not done by the devs.

Rather than life or es, it's Kaoms build or Shavs build. CI will just be pre-Shavs spec. Shavs build is best because you get the IIR/IIQ bonus.
