Ideas for better environmental immersion
Here are a few suggestions that I think would make the environment as much a character as the enemies and the players are.
1. Currently player characters and enemies don't take damage from standing in campfires. I'm not saying it should be the same amount of damage as a level 10 fireball, but some burning damage would lend some authenticity to the environments. http://www.cybercrystal.net/poe/screenshot-0000.png 2. Torches thrown at my feet that land in the water still explode and catch me on fire. A) Torch should have been doused as it hit the water preventing the explosion. B) Had I been on fire, stands to reason that entering the water would reduce the burning time. http://www.cybercrystal.net/poe/screenshot-0005.png 3. Missing texture tile directly under my arrow. Not sure if this is just on my local machine or if others are missing it as well. http://www.cybercrystal.net/poe/screenshot-0014.png 4. Follow me on this one, I think it could be quite fun. :) Here you've got a Fetid Shambler, right? See that "Spreads Tar On Death" affix? Great job, guys! http://www.cybercrystal.net/poe/screenshot-0016.png How about going for some extra credit and allow us to use fire spells to ignite that area that to do damage! Kind of like a fire trap, but made out of gooey fetid shambler guts. http://www.cybercrystal.net/poe/screenshot-0026.png 5. Electrical damage does have a radius of damage, but what if the enemy is standing in water? I think it should do bonus damage, and gradually decrease that damage to others standing in the water as well. Either anything standing in the center of the electricity gets 20% electric dmg spread down to say... 5% at the outer edge. Or up to 5 creatures within that radius gets shocked, in line from center following to the closest creature, similar to chain lightning. http://www.cybercrystal.net/poe/screenshot-0030.jpg This would, of course, possibly damage yourself if you are also standing in the water and are either in the radius or the next thing in line for a shock. http://www.cybercrystal.net/poe/screenshot- 0032.jpg Yes, I understand that some of these things are kind of nit-picky, but I think they could add a little more depth to the playing field and really present the world of Wraeclast as a living breathing entity, just just a board upon which we move our chess pieces about. Your suggestions are fine but presentation is a cosmic horror. If you want to add a full-sized uncompressed screenshot with no thumbnail to each of the suggestions, at least state that there is nothing to see in them somewhere in the beginning.

My apologies, for the massive files. I am still new to posting in forums and I was unable to figure out how to add thumbnails. I'll play around with it. I also forgot that not everybody has high-speed broadband connections.

Some cool ideas which allow for some more terrain-specific gameplay. Imagine guiding a group of enemies on tar and then setting the tar on fire...
