Locating party members is difficult

There should be a button, or way to see which direction your party members have gone. TP'ing to their location is not enough, as the maps are so huge, they are way off in an unknown direction by the time you port in.

Keeping a pickup group together is like herding cats. A few subtle map UI enhancements could encourage players to stay together more often.

Very true it can be annoying trying to find your party members. They could maybe make it to where you can teleport to your party members somehow of course with some restrictions on when and how you can teleport to them.
Yeah I was surprised I could not see them on my map when I got into the same area. Their profile pic did appear on screen which atleast let you know you were in the same area, but thats about it.

Could use an upgrade in this area. I also found that when I joined someones party and then left, and went into the same area they are in after I left, I was still able to run around and play with that character in the same area.
I would also like to see names on the map. (Perhaps with the same highlight toggles as items.) Quite often someone in the party says "hey, I've found it" and you're left wondering just who of the two who wandered off it is among the nondescript map crosses.

Not a huge problem, in the end, but just a subtle quality of life thing.
Perhaps showing a trail of little dots on the mini map (and main map). That way you would know the path to take to get to your party members and could easily follow along with them and not get separated so easily.

While I dont really have much of a problem with this, it did make me ponder a bit about the addition of a summon/movement item.

Said items would allow you to select a member of you party, and move directly to them, or summon your entire party directly to you.

There are obvious abuse possibilities with such items, but much of this can be disregarded by adding minimum level requirements to enter specific maps. Such a requirement would also make race events a much more level playing field.
...narf
I wouldn't ask for a full on teleport button. We should still run to catch up. However an arrow in their general direction, along with a name, would go a long way.
I think that a simple arrow on the border of the screen with the name of the party member may be enough. Also, in the city, may be usefull that the arrow is located above the city portal that the party member are closer (so, if there are multiple city portal, you can chose the nearest to the other party members).
I think this is the map problem. I hope they can zoom in/out, so you can see the where others are.

An arrow would be great, but mis-leading as well. They could be in the East, but you might have to go South to find them.
I think the Diablo3's way is good , direct get to party members in town.
