no, animate guardian checks for support on every new instance. You could enter a instance with the support gems attached than remove them, the animate guardian will still have the support gems for the duration of that instance you are in.

How's that work with remote mine?

The game checks what gems are linked and assigns whatever buffs those supports give. The use mechanics and buffs of a gem are separate functions. This is why Cast on Death, before it was nerfed to exclude minions, could be linked to Animate Guardian in town and he'd get 300% more damage and 60% increased area without you ever having to die.

Summoners suck. Without snapping, they would suck even more. Without Evangelists, they would suck anymore. Animate Weapon sucks... I'm QQ at how much summoner build sucks.

Summoners are ok if were looking at all the build possibilities with unlimited funding. They don't clear the fastest or is the most tankiest. Summoner builds are there for people who like summoning and the fact that is it highly adaptable to any map mods and situations. It won't win in any damage/tanking category.

I would say summoner has 1 clear advantage over other builds. It is the only character type that can stack huge amount of IIR/IIQ and still clear fine.

I'd also cast Summoners as one of the best support characters in a party. Minions eat so many hits for your team, Evangelist bubbles protect your archers and casters, you provide a massive heap of 170% auras, and with a few points/items you can dual/triple/quad curse and shock stack.

anyways, i have a prism guardian and a alphas howl, so tried it with the cloak build, and i got myself 4.1k life(~4.6k before reservations) and 1k mana left over runing 6 auras (discipline+ clarity on the prism, and purity, vitality, hatred and haste on my mana).

Discipline is a 60% aura, and in Prism Guardian it's reserving life. What about swapping it with Purity, which is a 40% aura? Same color, and you gain 17 ES for 1% all resist from the +2/+1 aura level difference between Alpha Howl and Prism Guardian.

@Passive tree dicussion

You know, I totally forgot about the top 8% life cluster(near CI). Also that pathing is better than mine. I think my current pathing was when I was still undecided on going to IR or not with cloak. 264% life is sounds awesome.

Speaking of Iron Reflexes, I decided to try it with this build. Here's my level 82 tree.

With the Cloak of Defiance, Alpha Howl, a high evasion shield, Grace (replaces Hatred), and Determination (replaces Vitality), I'm sitting at 17k armor. My Strength is low, so I can't level Determination past 10 yet. My life on gear kinda sucks without Koam's Heart, and spending 10 points for IR means I only have 102% HP, so my current life is a dangerous 1910 with 434 available MoM mana.

I've solo'd Piety and Dominus without dying and only losing one zombie, but I don't know if that really means anything.

I took Static Blows because I really wanted to see how well this 5-chain Arc works, and I'm reliably shock stacking, so that's a plus. Even Dominus' final form sparkled with electricity for me.

I have died once so far in a 70+ map (the one that looks like the Imperial Gardens) in the boss chamber. Something hit me hard, I have no idea what, but I barely had any time to react (wonder if I lagged). I forget the map mods, but I think we had reduced resistances. Several others in my party wiped in there, too, and they were higher level, so I didn't feel too bad (well, the XP loss hurt).

Question! If you were to play 6 link specs for titty bitches and flame sentiel what would the 6th link be?

I was thinking either knockback, lifeleech, trap, added fire for titties And for flame I was thinking GMP, trap, minion dmg, chain? Also chain works on titties but in a weird way! Anyways let me know your thoughts!
Remote Mine + Trap + Elemental Resistance + LMP + Chain for tittybitches, and
Remote Mine + Trap + Elemental Resistance + Faster Casting + Fire Penetration/Conc Effect for Sentinels.
For Flame Sentinels, I personally wouldn't add GMP or Chain. They already have free LMP, Fork, and Fireball deals Area damage. Chain takes away that Area damage until the last chain, and GMP adds a ton of lag-inducing fireballs that hit nothing. With three Flame Sentinels, you're already covering a wide area, so I prefer boosting the damage of their already strong AOE.

The minion clusters on the passive tree now give 2.5% life regeneration and 4% life leech, so I don't see Lifeleech as a necessary support gem anymore. Desecrate and the Eternal Laboratory also make re-summoning them a lot easier on the very rare occasion they die.

Raise Spectre: Flame Sentinel

+ Remote Mine: 49% more damage.

+ Minion Damage: 77+15% increased damage. Since minion nodes only give 105% increased damage this support nearly doubles it, so it's pretty close to gems that add MORE damage.

+ Concentrated Effect: 69% more Area damage, so Fork shots don't get this on the first hit.

+ Fire Penetration: 35% penetration, like having MORE damage, but worth even more if you aren't cursing down fire resist; +10% increased fire damage from quality.

+ Faster Casting: 39+10% faster casting. Like MORE damage, but grouped with Flesh Offering. It gets that first volley of fire out faster, puts forth more balls, cycles to LMP shots quicker, and lends greater damage efficiency.

~ or ~

+ Trap: 34% more damage.

Hi Op,

Im kinda debating between go CI or follow ur build.
I think I prob. gonna only have few ex on this char, (I am really bad at making money in POE).
And I dont have much to invest on this char.

As for a new char, which may lvl to around 75, which do you think is better?

BTW why is BM left out?

this build is cheaper than ci builds.

for lvling you could use flameblast + searing bond, if you kept lvling your minion gems from the very begining (take them as soon as you get them as reward) by act3 merciless your minions should be ok (mine did), oh and dont forget about skellies + mineon instability, relly useful against act bosses (you must figure out for urself the best time to spec it out)

BM's were nerfed HARD.

discipline being a 60% aura is exatcly wahy i use it on life, 1st the reduction is better (prism has 25% reduce cost as mod) discipline reserves 11% from 22% as for purity its 8% from 15%. and its only ~200 life or ~300 mana diference. and i dont use any of them on my alphas, so it's either +1 lvl or nothing
Hear this words but once and they will echo in your nightmares forever!

What exacly sucks? Can you be more specific? I would be interested in knowing what it could be.

I don't snapshot and i'm doing fine. Got a normal 6-link chest to put spectres in and a 4-link +2 to minions helm to put zombies in. Rz+multi+fa+splash. The basic 4 link combo that is all you need.
Hi, Op, for me this build sound great with low buget,
however, since u were playing for a long while, have u ever thought a lowlife more auras, Shaveron build?
would that be better? for you o/c, I would never have that much currency.

Yeah a shav would be great but I don't flip items/get lucky enough to afford it =/. A shav is definitely worth over 100ex.

That being said there isn't really any other auras I would want besides haste(going to get a prism guardian and alpha howls and see how that goes for 6-7auras)

Anger/Wrath is nice but only synergies well with titty-bitches. Zombies hitting for bit more elemental damage won't make a humongous impact when they already reach 50k dps each once you have your gems together. Certainly nice since I do believe they are boosted by remote mine, minion damage, and other global or minion damage modifiers. But only if you have room

Grace, great with IR. If your not picking that node the evasion boost is ok but it is a 60% reserve

Determination, your minions don't have that much armor at level 20 its around 1k. This build won't have much armor either so determination is mostly wasted

Other purity auras, These auras are really niche. Useful only vs certain bosses other wise your minions pretty much tank through anything.

Kinda wish GGG will release more auras, The current 5 I choose for the build has the biggest impact.

p.s. I think the real benefit of a low-life shav build would be the ability to wield midnight bargains without it being a total killer defense wise.
