There are a TON of utility gems that could use 1~2 socket pieces (hopefully amulets and belts are not far behind).

Arctic Armor
Desecrate
Bone Offering
Flesh Offering
Any curse
Rejuv Totem

I'm sure theres more, but thats just off the top of my head of utility gems that don't really need links.

Arctic armor is best overleveled, flesh and bone offering is even better with inc duration, curses and totem maybe. This might level the strain on sockets when snapshot will be removed though.

If 8~10 all resist breaks your build........you probably need better gear. I'm over capped already on all resists with zero resists on my rings. Again, I'll state that any of the current implicit stats are NOT worth losing an extra skill gem slot.
