Will conc effect and aoe passives work with Melee splash?

Topic, I'm wondering if a concentrated effect linked to melee spalsh and heavy strike will have an effect since the heavy strike will now be registered as an AOE attack? And the AOE passives too? Has anyone tried?

Conc Effect doesn't work as the skill gem you link isn't classified as AoE, even if you put in Melee Splash for AoE. Increased AoE does work though and is a good support for Melee Splash.
Unarmed for life! (although I do like maces too recently)

Im think conc effect will increase the damage dealt to the nearby targets affected by the splash, but will not affect the damage dealt to the primary target... although thinking about it, that would mean splashed targets would take MORE damage than the primary target, which would be a little odd.
