what to do with rings and such
I'm building up a pretty good lot of low level rings, amulets and necklaces that all have the same basic attributes. +29 mana, +29 fire resistance, etc....
what can I do with these other than sell them? Can I combine them to make other, better weapons etc? I've seen some crafting posts but just looking for a little guidance. | |

There's a lot to learn about this game and how to build items. You don't need to know it to play, and enjoy yourself. Just keep on playing, and keep on learning. Learn as you play. You'll make mistakes. Learn from them. None of them are fatal. Last edited by Shagsbeard#3964 on May 26, 2013, 10:43:00 AM

Hey OP:
So you have a good white ring? with good stats like a 29 cold res saphire ring now what? use an alch on it, make it rare. another important factor, the ilvl (itemlevel) check it in game by picking up the ring hitting enter and typing in chat /itemlevel if you are level 60 and your ring is itemlevel 30 then you wont get the best mods you can use so when going through the vendor try to not only buy rings with good mods but also rings from later vendors ex: merciless a1 vendor has higher ilvl than cruel a1 vendor. if you use an alch on either a pua ring or a coral ring you can use a vendor recipie on it, sell that rare coral or pua ring WITH 7 iron rings of any kind at all (white blue rare any combo to 7) and get a new unidentified rare amulet (either pua or coral depending on ring you used) ilvl 60 rare sets go for chaos in vendor recipie, so save any rare rings over 60 even if the stats are AWEFUL. if you have a ilvl 60 pua or coral ring you can vndor it for an ilvl 60 pua/coral AMULET if you have more rings than amulets for the chaos recipie. http://en.pathofexilewiki.com/wiki/Vendor_Recipes gl |

You can also sell 5 rare, say, Coral rings to the vendor in exchange for a new unidentified rare coral ring. It will be the lowest ilvl of the 5 rings you sold.
To be honest, I keep any and every ring/amulet I find, as they're usually the easiest to fill a void missing in some equipment. |
